Quite the emotional ride back in time

"Never Forget" is their motto and I couldn't think of a better one. This audio tour takes you back in time and shows the other side of the 911 events, the impact it had on the families and the recovery effort that was conducted. Gary Suson did an amazing job of capturing all these emotions during the six months he spent at Ground Zero with the recovery workers. The museum is the next best thing to having actually been there. It was a very moving experience that we will remember for a long time. Eric & Vicky Ottawa, Canada

Best part of trip to NY

I came to New York for the first time to attend the 2008 Toy Fair. I looked around online to see what I could do to in the city to remember 9/11. I found this workshop online and it had great ratings. I decided to go ahead and attend and WOW was I amazed. This workshop was amazing, tons of photos, actual items from the WTC towers and videos. Almost every picture had a number and you were able to listen to the self guided audio tour by pushing the corresponding number and hearing information from the photographer right through your personal headset. Very moving event, and I would say this event was the best part of my 5 night stay in NY.

This exibit is well prepared and thoughtful, and really brings you close to the recovery effort at Ground Zero. There are moments of tears and laughter, but above all you come away with a great sense of the gravity of what occurred at the World Trade Center when almost 3,000 people lost their lives. It is a tribute to their memory, their families, and the dedicated men and women who worked day and night for months after the attacks to recover their fallen comrades as well as innocent civilians. If you are in New York to learn more about 9/11, this should be your first stop.

Pictures are, they say, worth a thousand words. Particularly in this case. The pictures taken by Gary Suson and exhibited in this small museum are a way to get a better understanding of the human elements of 9/11 - both the tragedies and the successes and hopes. The pictures and the fascinating commentaries do the job tremendously well, and in an honest and moving way tell the story of the rescue and forensic efforts. I visited the museum and then visited the site itself, which is the best way to do this I would suggest. Thoroughly recommended.

This was my priority while on vacation and it was well with it. The story behind the pictures and articles recovered from ground zero were very touching. I remember, as most do, exactly where i was and what i was doing on 9-11 and it was amazing how Mr Suson (the photographer) put this museum together. Mr Suson was there at the museum on the day of our visit. He was very nice and personalized our book we bought with his autograph and took a photo with us. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone visiting New York. Thank you for the memories.........NEVER FORGET 9-11. Jason

I visited the museum while on holiday with my girlfriend. Although im from Scotland ive always felt touched by the events of 9/11 and the way people pulled together at such a devestating time. We were very lucky to be the only people on the tour and have the whole museum to ourselves. The whole experience was very moving and the intimacy of the museum and excellence of our tour guide was very touching. We met Mr Suson but to be honest it was very hard to come up with the words to let him know just how remarkable his work was. This is a must see for anyone visiting New York and for me it was truly inpirational
