| Avoids the rampant political, xenophobic and rhetorical nonsense that is sadly attached to this event. Fantastic.
Also, he's the only reason that you'll ever see photos of this effort, and it shaved years off his life, so go thank him and show some RESPECT, ya? |

| the musuem is small but there is so much history, so much emotion and so many stories packed into the room that no-one could leave untouched by the experience. we were lucky that Gary Susson himself was doing the tour which added an extra element of connection.
the photos themselves are amazing and they are brought to life with the narratives, sometimes eerie, sometimes with a little bit of humour but overwhelmingly of love and respect.
i'd definitely recommend booking a tour. |

| This was a great experience. At first glance it seems that it would only take five minutes to see the entire museum, but after almost 2 hours I was wondering if I could take it all in. It really brought everything home. We could see and FEEL ground zero. After the museum my group went to ground zero and it is an experience I will never forget. |

| Very inspiring, informative, and well done. Especially meaningful as the photographer was the one who conducted the program. Liked the smallness of it...small group and not an overwhelming display. Very well done and have recommended to those I have talked to about my trip to NYC. |

| Ground Zero museum workshop is small and very fine. The artifacts that were found give an emotional impression of 9/11. And the fireworkers who manage the museum are very good guides. |

| This is literally a small hole in the wall museum. A few artifacts and many pictures not usually seen ...this was an eclectic experience. Official photographer for NYFD was on hand to give a preliminary talk and answer questions. I found some of it really amazing. It was a positive experience about the good that comes out of tragedy...not focusing on the tragedy itself. The crosses and Star of Davids made out of the fallen steel beams given out to about 1000 of the affected families was such a beautiful gesture and something I would not have known about had I not visited. There was the clock found by the photographer where time literally stood still....the last picture of the last subway train just before the ceiling came tumbling down. You are provided with head phones to get the various stories on both the photos and artifacts. Book was on hand completely done by the photographer (don't have his name handy) and some cards. Percentage of profits are given to NYFD. Friend who came with me was also touched by it. Don't forget, on your way out, to pick up prayers of every religion for peace (free) by the door. Summary: Small but worthwhile. |

| I can't even begin to tell you how much you really need to visit this museum. I went w/my husband and 2 teenage daughters and we were all captivated by it all. We were fortunate enough to have Gary be our guide since he had given his staff the week off! Having him there made it all even more worthwhile. We were able to hear his heart and feel his emotion as he talked about various things from his experiences. It is obvious how special, yet overwhelming, this project is to him. Like I told him, we all wish we could have been there after 9/11 to help and to share in all that was going on, to feel w/our hearts and w/our hands, and to feel as if there were something we could do. This exhibit took us directly to Ground Zero and it makes you feel as if you are a part of the recovery family and also causes you to put real emotions and artifact w/what we could only see on TV or view in a newspaper.
Excellent, excellent...I can't say enough. Make every effort it takes to get to the museum and you will be touched for a lifetime. |

| My husband is a Houston Firefighter and we visited on Oct.12th 2007. He was unable to talk to Gary from the lump in his throat although my conversation with him was priceless. The whole tour left a hard impression on me that I won't forget. I am gratefull for the opportunity to be even closer to the facts and the reality of the loss suffered. We were honored to be able to give some money to the museum and to go home with Gary"s book. I now have specific images in my mind as I prayfor these firefighters and families. |
