Great experience. Moving account of 9/11. Appropriate for all ages because no gore or graphic pictures. Something I would definitely recommend!

This was a tremendously powerful display of GroundZero images and artifacts in an intimate setting. The room is very small; there are couches and stools to sit on as you view the images and listen to the stories from the recovery efforts. They provide the Kleenexes--a good thing because you will need them! The day we were there, the photographer, Gary Suson, was there and visited with everyone and signed books and posters for us. I highly recommend this for anyone trying to understand the impact of 9/11. It was a highlight of our trip for all four of us.

Suggest that the on-line booking or information website gives more background on what can be expected at the museum. When one talks of a museum you naturally assume that this is multi-levelled and has many rooms with artifacts and information. My husband and i were initially very disappointed in the museum - the first impression was not what we had expected. The introduction was interesting and the interaction with each item via your radio connection is a great idea. Too many people to be able to easily get to points when we needed to and the combination of an office and a museum was unexpected and perhaps not appropriate. Overall the museum was interesting and we learned alot from the experience.

I would highly recommend this tour for individuals who want to comprehend the events of Sept 11th and their aftermath through the lens of the individuals and families who were among those most immediately affected by this terrible tragedy. The museum is really a small room with dozens of artifacts and pictures assembled to tell multiple stories of the people who died on that day as well as the firefighters and rescue workers tasked with the grim and solemn responsibility to recover bodies and dismantle the site. Each story and picture is unique in its own way; the cumulative effect puts a very human face on the devastation wrought by this inconceivable act of violence. The stories of these people are told by the photographer, Gary Susson, with great care, respect, and love though pictures and spoken words. Viewing the pictures and hearing stories was my own act of remembrance that had more personal value than had I merely visited the Ground Zero site.

| This was one of the most impressive things we saw on our visit to NYC in 2008
"Lest We never Forget"
It was so poignant without being obtrusive and gory. The pictures told a 1000 words and the audio attached to each picture told the story of that particular picture to the fullest.
The whole thing had deep meaning-one left this exhibit/lecture feeling a connection to those who not only left us on this fateful day but also to the loved ones they left behind.
I would recommend it highly to ech and everyone who visits NYC |

Like my reaction to the events of 9/11 my workshop experience was very personal. As a native New Yorker living on the west coast I felt a need to be more connected to those affected by the tragedy. I have always felt something was "missing" for me because I wasn't there when it happened and so I made a special trip to New York to visit Ground Zero and the Museum Workshop. Seeing the photos of the rescue workers, hearing the stories behind the photos, and actually being able to touch pieces of the World Trade Center gave me the connection and understanding I was looking for. It's a very powerful experience and one that should not be missed. Never forget.

This museum takes you back to the recovery of Ground Zero as if you are there. It is a poignant reminder of what heroes those men and women were.

Whilst we were initially surprised at the size of the museum, we don't think that there was anything more that could be fitted into this experience. The photography combined with the audio commentary ensured that you were truly involved with the exhibition. We found the visit a very moving experience and would recommend it highly to everyone who shouldn't foget that awful day.

It was just an "o.k." exhibit, not as good as what I had expected from reading previous reviews. There was much repetition from the video, handout, guide comments and the actual exhibit.
