| My family were in New York for the first time, 2 years after 9/11. We visited Ground Zero then and on subsequent visits, but although deeply moved (and as the rebuild has progressed, encouraged) I have always felt a little voyeuristic, so I wasn't sure about this museum. It was highly recommended, but I was concerned about sensationalism being used to profit from such a profoundly sad historical event.
I needn't have worried. It is a tiny place, but it's stories take around two hours to tell. Essentially it is a chronicle of how the New York Fire Department coped with the aftermath - from the recovery of the victims to the clearing of the site. There are stories and images here that will stay with you forever and the whole thing is very carefully, compassionately and tastefully presented. There is nothing gory or overly dramatic here, it is simply real life, at that time and place, captured on film.
Truly amazing and highly recommended. |

| None of us (myself, my wife or my 7 year old and 13 year old) knew what to expect from the adventure. The space amplifies the incredible inpact that this event had on so many people. The format was well executed and informative and the presenter gave enough information to prompt curiosity. The selection of pictures and artifacts are well presented and explained and again the limited space enhances the whole experience.
Since our visit, we have recommended this museum and tour to many of our Canadian friends who are planning trips to NY in the near future,
Congratulations on not overcomercializing or glorifying any part of this disasterous event, |

| Being from Australia on the otherside of the world, The Recovery after 911 was something I didnt think about. Ground Zero Workshop Museum was displayed it in such a delicate way for such a tragic event. I didnt realise the Museum was focused on the Recovery but is certainly an untold story that answers so much about that incredible day. Walking the streets of New York today it is incomprehensible that it even happend - may there be nothing like it ever again. This museum will ensure that only the best is remembered and never forgotten. I thoroughly recommend The Museum to every visititor to New York. |

| Can't say enough about this museum. Was definitely the highlight of our 4 day trip to New York. A wonderful exhibit expressed through the use of video, pictures and artifacts. So much to see and experience in one small room. This is a MUST see...you will not be disappointed. |

| My outlook on the event has completly changed from visiting this workshop. This is a very tastefully done tribute to those that were lost that day.You can touch artifacts as well as listen to stories behind pictures. Gary has done a fantastic job in capturing the emotion-no words are needed for the pictures as they tell the story, something which I found very moving.
Watching the event on T.V was one thing, but visiting the workshop really opened my eyes. The guide was fantastic as she took her time to go through the artifacts & pictures.
A must see if in New York. |

| The whole theme was presented very factually and very well without over sentimentality.
Although we were very moved by the whole tour we were pleased that it seemed to avoid upsetting scenes and actions that I would have found quite hard to personally deal with.
A must see if in New York for a few days |

| Lost for words ........ A truly amazing exhibition for anyone that wishes to have some understanding of 9/11 and its recovery. Gary Marlon Suson beautifully portrays images and items leaving you feeling full of emotion and understanding of something that is so difficult to come to terms with. It certainly is worth a visit in a very relaxed atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone. |

| I would definitely recommend the Ground Zero Museum. It is an emotional and intimate experience - with over 100 exhibits displayed in just a small studio room. The tour starts with a couple of short video clips which are very moving - lots of tissues being passed around - then there is the chance to hold some artifacts extracted from Ground Zero. Finally the audio tour lets you hear the stories behind chosen exhibits and photographs. There's 2 hours allocated to each tour, so there is time to hear every story, if you can handle it. |
