This was a brilliant piece of work. It really put the whole event into perspective. I think possibly non US residents could not quite understand the enormity of the event but now I can.

This was the most well done and meaningful activity I have participated in for a long time. Thoughtful and respectful. It should not be missed. I only wish it could go on tour much like the Viet Nam wall so that all would have the opportunity to see it.

Although I was, at first, underwhelmed by the size and appearance of the museum, I found it to be a very worthwhile visit. The video presentation and the many objects in the museum told the story of the 911 attack in a powerful, personal manner. I would recommend the visit very highly to anyone who is interested in understanding the personal effect 911 had on so many people.

Though small, this museum had an intensive display of photos and items recovered from Ground Zero with audio stories of each display. Very tasteful account of what happened on 9/11/2001 that literally took you back in time to that horrific day New Yorkers endured. I was able to buy a beautiful book by Gary Suson who was the appointed photographer of this horrific event. I will treasure this book as an important part of American history that affected the entire world. The young tour guide did an awesome job of respectfully narrating the contents of this modest museum and, out of respect for this nation, ALL Americans visiting NYC should visit this Ground Zero Museum. I was there - my room overlooked Ground Zero...part of me felt self-loathing for looking down into it, yet I could not stop. God bless Gary Suson, the citizens of this awesome city, and God bless all of us. THANK YOU.

A moving and emotional collection of pictures and artifacts giving a brief view of what the emergency workers must have felt for the many weeks they worked at the site.

The photos and artifacts of the museum are amazing .. and the stories that go along with them are not to be missed. Reminds us that WE MUST NOT FORGET. We had two young teens (13 and 15) with us and they were just as interested as the adults. Reminds them, too, without gore, of the impact and import of 9/11. We had the extra special opportunity to be led through the museum by the "9/11 Photographer" who took the photos and gathered many of the artifacts. Very personable and obviously respectful of the material.

This is an exhibit that transports you to ground zero from the moment that you walk in. Gary Suson has organized the workshop in an effective way starting from the first day through the last day of recovery. He gave a presentation explaining how he became the only photographer allowed in ground zero to document the efforts through pictures and he also shared his experience as he was taking some of the photos on display. After the presentation you are free to walk around. The photos are displayed in different ways - some are three dimensional, others have actual WTC rocks, dust, debris strewn about them. Also on display are some of the items used in the recovery and items found. As you view them you have the use of a hand held audio device. Each picture/item has an identifying number, when you enter the number you hear an explanation when, where, and what was happening. This is an excellent method to use in this type of display - it allows you all the time to take it in. He has sofas and stools around where you can sit in "awe" before moving on. Do not let the size of this gallary fool you, soon you will discover that this small intimate gallary is one of the largest displays you have seen, heard and felt. We highly recommend it!

This workshop contains unique and original facts and artifacts of 9/11 events and the following days. Everything is presented in detail and with much respect and honor for all involved. The excellent presentation of the material helps you understand the feelings experienced during that time. This workshop should be available nation wide in order that no one should forget 9/11.

This museum helped me to connect with the 9/11 tragedy in a way that an actual visit to Ground Zero did not. I had not visited the Ground Zero site until now and it is basically now a construction site. The museum allowed me to really get a feel for the enormity of the tragedy and what the recovery effort was like. Having the hand held audio that told a story about each picture and item was very effective. I was especially moved by the pieces of glass from the buildings and the piece of the airplane wing. I was also glad that they limited the number of people in the museum at any one time, and that you were allowed to stay as long as you liked - they did not rush you through so another group could come in. The whole atmosphere was one of reverence and respect for the lives that were lost.
