| The museum is very small and has some very moving pictures. However, there were 5-6 stories that were emphasized and repeated from the video, the tour guide and the audio guide. Probably could have taken just an hour.
My largest complaint is that it focused ONLY on the firemen, not on the other service personnel who lost their lives. Also, when Gary Suson talked on the audio guide of the pictures he took, he was a bit self congratulatory (irksome), like "I only had 60 seconds to take this photo). Who cares! It screamed of look how great of a photographer i am. Yes, he is, but that's not the purpose of the museum. Really detracted from our experience. |

| A very impressive, hard and beautifull tour. We all saw the the planes flying into the twin towers, the movies, but what happened afterward, what you showed (in a very respectful, not dramatic way) in the tour means understanding what the people involves had to go through.
I'm glad we had the change to see all that. It's a part of NYC, which need to be told.

| We found the museum to be one of the highlights of our trip to NYC, if not the top one it ties with the Statue of Liberty. Tastefully done, Very emotional. We highly rcommend this to any and all.
Thank you. |

| This is history in the making NOW. Persons of all ages should not miss this sensitve, personal account of human beings joining together from all over our nation to lend a hand in whatever one could do. What I appreciated about this workshop/tour is that there's only 20 per tour. The room is small where you watch videos as well as see/feel what is left of the glass, papers, personal belongings etc. It's really uncanny how Gary M. Susan was the one choosen to be the official (and only) photographer allowed on this sacred ground - he captures the raw tenderness as well as the intense reality of what happened.
I grew up in New York and now live in Atlanta, GA.. I was in Atlanta on 9/11 and will never forget what I was in the middle of doing and how I've viewed life from a different prospective after that day. I felt such a sense of urgency to get back to NY and bring my daughter who was 11 at the time and we did. We flew in 4 weeks later to smoke still rising and rubble still burning. The stench was overwhelming and walking around, looking at all the missing persons bulletins pulled at my heart and soul. From stepping off the train at Grand Central and being greated by the National Guard everywhere, streets locked down, 5th avenue with nothing but flags and police everywhere. A very still quiteness to this city that I've never heard or felt before. I could go on and on about more that I saw and felt, the bottom line is that not every visit to NY should be about a Broadway Play, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, great food and such - things that bring a smile and happiness to your face just by "being a part of it". There are times when one needs to feel and understand the pain of so many families, pray for them and their losses and hold a piece of history in your heart - this is the place. And it should bring a smile, a sense of warmness with a better understanding of what those that rescued and cleaned up are still living with and going through. And how we all can appreciate our lives and those we love everyday. It is a gift.
NEVER FORGET. |

| I appreciated the thought and attention to detail in this small but moving look at those who worked in Ground Zero after the fall of the Twin Towers. |

| Gary's photographs and dialogue brought so much detail to Ground Zero. The experience was both heart breaking and uplifting. A special bonus was having the opportunity to meet Gary! |

| Myself and four other co-workers were priviledged to visit the Ground Zero Museum a few weeks ago. It was a very emotional and knowledgeable experience. We all felt the very same way. It was so interesting hearing all the stories and seeing the actual photos from the actual event. It made you feel like you were almost actually experiencing the event yourself. Our hearts went out to all the families who lost loved ones. We had kind of forgot all the devastation and terror that happened, however the museum helped us to remember once again all the facts. I am so glad we were able to see such amazing artifacts and photos. We would highly recommend that you think about visiting the museum and then go out to the actual site. You will have a greater understanding and appreciation for the event. Thank you to everyone who put together such a wonderful memorial. Kimberly Roberts-Texas |

| I didn't know what to expect with the exhibit/museum but I couldn't believe how wonderful it turned out to be. First our tour guide was fantastic. She has a lot of information and was very helpful. All the items in the museum were amazing. Each picture brought me closer to the people involved in 9/11. Because I live in the west coast I didn't imagine I would feel so emotional about the WTC but in fact I felt closer than I had previously had. It really did give me hope and believe people are good in the midst of tragedy.
Since coming back all of us in the group have raved about how fantastic it was and have recommended to all our friends. |
