| This was a brilliant piece of work. It really put the whole event into perspective. I think possibly non US residents could not quite understand the enormity of the event but now I can. |

| You have to visit this museum, because the guide was the only one who could take photos of the world trade center tragedy. I was shocked when I quit the museum. |

| Walking into the workshop you are taken aback by the small space, however, walking through the picture audiotour immediately gives you a feeling that 9/11 was anything but small. The exhibit was tastefully and thoughtfully prepared with the intimate setting for families and the story that each picture told. This exhibit really humanized such a catastrophe and brought you down to a level where you could really sense the tragedy but also the great unity and brotherhood that endured. Moreso, the photography beautifully captured all facets of 9/11. They really memorialized the efforts of every man and woman and those who perished at the WTC.
I recommend this exhibit to everyone. It was such a powerful and engaging experience that I will remember always. |

| While the location is not ideal, the information presented in this museum is information the public would otherwise have not known. The official photographer happened to be giving the tour the day we were there and autographed some things for us. I would recommend to go to the museum tour before Ground Zero to truly appreciate what happened that day that America will never forget.

| The Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour was unlike any other museum tour we had ever experienced. The setting was intimate as 11 people on our tour gathered into a small museum filled with photographs and artifacts from Gary Suson, the official Ground Zero photographer. We were fortunate to have Gary as our "guide". He has created a museum of photos and artifacts that capture the reality of the 9/11 tragedy. Each photograph or artifact literally tells a story as you listen to Gary tell a moving, personal story about each one.You do this at your own pace by listening to the stories through a hand held device and headset. Gary is a very humble individual. Although his book, Requiem, was available for purchase, he never promoted the book during our visit. I purchased the book and am so glad that I did, as the photos in the book are the same as the photos in the museum. As life continues on, this museum reminds us that we must "Never Forget".

| Many times when national events happen, most people only get to see them through the eyes of the media. By visiting the Ground Zero Museum Project, it made the events real and personal. After all of these years, I was able to make an emotional connection with those involved. Now, I carry the memories of so many people who were directly impacted by the events of 9/11.
The photos, stories, and recovery items were displayed in a tasteful manner. Although the museum is quite small, the content is quite large.
Thank You Gary for allowing us to see what you saw throughout the recovery!

| I took my 12 yr. old grandson to the museum before we went to ground zero. He was too young when it happened to really absorb the emensness of the event. The ground zero museum provided a perfect back-story. No gore and body parts; no planes crashing into buildings. It was about the recovery efforts of all involved, particulary the NYFD. The photographs were art and the photographer and an additional fireman (surviver of the recovery) were there to answer questions. It was quiet and respectful. When we went to the site, my grandson would not take a picture out of respect for those who died there and were not recovered. The only T-shirt he asked for was the "I Love NY", twin towers shirt sold at the museum with proceeds going to NYFD 911 Funds. It clearly made the right impression on him. Bravo Boys! |
