| I found the Ground Zero Museum and Workshop Tour on the internet. To be honest, before we went, I wasn't sure it was worth the price. There are other Ground Zero "things" to do in NYC. But, I would pay 10X the price to attend again. It is a very intimate setting, a small studio-type apartment. There was a young gentleman who is training to be a NYC firefighter as our tour guide (really more of a host). He gave a short history of the museum and how it came to be, showed a couple of videos, maybe 10-15 minutes and then we were given headsets to go at our own pace by typing in a number next to pictures and artifacts. We could ask him questions about any of the pictures there. It was very emotionally moving to see and touch some of the actual pieces of the WTC, to hear the stories behind such pieces. The museum does NOT show the planes hitting the WTC, it focuses on the recovery. Very uplifting experience. As you walk in, you are instantly taken back to 9/11, raw emotions that have been surpressed for years. You see the faces and hear the stories of families directly impacted. Very peaceful, uplifting, rewarding experience. The best 2 hours we spent in New York! |

| Gary Suson has achieved what he set out to do with this museum. It was a very moving experience and very thought provoking. The memories and feelings invoked by this museum will stay with you for years to come. 2 hours is really not enough time to take it all in. 20 people to a tour is an ideal number because of the size of the museum. |

| The experience was really worth it. I am not a new yorker and I did not have any relative affected by the attacks of 9/11 and yet, I felt really connected to the tragedy.
I think this visit is a chance to grow as a person.
You should go by all means.
Not recommended for children at all. |

| My family were in New York for the first time, 2 years after 9/11. We visited Ground Zero then and on subsequent visits, but although deeply moved (and as the rebuild has progressed, encouraged) I have always felt a little voyeuristic, so I wasn't sure about this museum. It was highly recommended, but I was concerned about sensationalism being used to profit from such a profoundly sad historical event.
I needn't have worried. It is a tiny place, but it's stories take around two hours to tell. Essentially it is a chronicle of how the New York Fire Department coped with the aftermath - from the recovery of the victims to the clearing of the site. There are stories and images here that will stay with you forever and the whole thing is very carefully, compassionately and tastefully presented. There is nothing gory or overly dramatic here, it is simply real life, at that time and place, captured on film.
Truly amazing and highly recommended. |

| My husband, our two teenagers, and I thought this was one of the best things we did in NYC. This powerful one room museum will leave a lasting impression on you. Never forget the WTC. |

| None of us (myself, my wife or my 7 year old and 13 year old) knew what to expect from the adventure. The space amplifies the incredible inpact that this event had on so many people. The format was well executed and informative and the presenter gave enough information to prompt curiosity. The selection of pictures and artifacts are well presented and explained and again the limited space enhances the whole experience.
Since our visit, we have recommended this museum and tour to many of our Canadian friends who are planning trips to NY in the near future,
Congratulations on not overcomercializing or glorifying any part of this disasterous event, |

| This museum is just amazing--it's not a whole building or anything like that but instead is just a loft filled with photos of ground zero, but the intimate setting of the museum is amazing! When I was there the photographer himself was present to talk to us, but the staff was very knowledgeable as well. The self-guided audio tour was filled with touching and emotional stories that cannot leave you unmoved. Highly recommended! |

| I thought the museum was very nicely done. It was amazing to see some of the pictures and hear stories from someone who was there at ground zero. |

| We were blessed with the experience of the Ground Zero Museum. We liken it to the Holocaust....it's part of this country's fabric and we must never forget. We the help of this museum we will not forget how threatened our country truly is and what over 3000 people gave their lives for. Thank you for this impactful exhibit and for all you are doing to remind each one of us what it's really all about.....our country's FREEDOM! Charleston, SC |
