Very impressed with the sincerely sensitive presentation of the stories that touched Gary Suson while photodocumenting this horrific event and aftermath. His perceptive and detailed story telling is above all what conveys to the visitor a true feeling of how it was to be there during that time and after, while the Fire Depts were recovering the many victims of that tragedy. I would highly recommend a visit to this interactive museum before seeing the actual Ground Zero site. Makes it so much more real and meaningful. I was also particularly impressed with Gary's way with my children and nephew. He gave them exactly what I had hoped they would come away with...something that they would never forget as long as they live and something that they could share with classmates and teachers as well as other family members about what they learned there.

This was a brilliant museum to visit and would really recommened it. It really helps to understand what went on during the recovery and just how it effected the people there. We went with threee small children and they really enjoyed it. Staff were really friendly and couldnt do enought to help you with any questions or queries you had. Would do it again on our next visit to New York.

| We were awed by Gary's informative and moving tribute to the victims, firefighters, groundworkers, police and survivors of the 911 atrocities.
It cannot be emphasised enough that the world should never forget that period in time.
The museum has warmth and humour, which only adds to the power of this experience.
We were very lucky to meet Gary, and we were awed by his courage and dignity, and the respect he has for humankind.
Before you consider viewing the site, go on this tour. 100% recommendation.

The"museum", if that's what you want to call it is located in the meat-packing district. The large banner that is outside is under an awning in the shade and it's very hard to find. Also there is a lot of construction going on in the area so you have to be careful where you walk. The inside is very small and pictures were not allowed to be taken, much to my surprise. The interesting thing is that the person giving the "tour", basically a talk, not a tour, is the actual photographer that took the photographs. In the description of the tour when I bought the tickets, it says you can handle items from the WTC wreckage. He would not allow anything to be handled but you could "look" all you wanted. The "tour" started 35 minutes late and we were late getting to our next destination, for which we had reserved tickets for. We ended up not being able to use our reserved tickets because we missed the transportation that was planned for our next event. He spoke for several minutes and then we watched a videotape and a lot of things were repeated again in the tape. I would suggest a larger location and a more "hands-on" approach if that is what they are going to advertise when someone purchases tickets.

My family and I were very moved by this museum. It was very personal, hands on and reverant. Anyone who wants to know what it really was like on 9/11/01 needs to see this museum!

I was quite surprised at the size (smaller than anticipated), but everything was well put together and organized. I wthink it was well worth the time and money to visit the 911 musuem.
