Incredibly powerful and not to be missed.

For such a small space, the museum is really impactful. Gary Suson has created a space that is sensitive to its subject matter, while allowing those of us from out of town to learn about things that were never covered in the national news media. For anyone that experienced 9/11 only on TV, internet and in the news (not locals) it really gives you a sense of what the recovery was like, as if you watched it with your own two eyes. Make sure you go, and leave a donation!

An emotional, but touching experience.

I cannot recommend this museum enough to everyone I know that will go to NYC. My husband and I went with a couple from his Army National Guard unit. This museum sent an overwhelming amount of emotions through my body as I looked at the walls filled with memories and stories. My husband was on a four-day pass, getting ready to head to Iraq and this experience provided us with the strength and courage to come to terms of this deployment. It reminded us of the reason he would be heading to Iraq. An EXCELLENT way to view the recovery efforts after 9-11 and an Amazing tribute to the men and women who worked in the recovery effort. A great way to pay tribute to our heroes, and the pictures were simply indescribable. Small private setting made this tour more personal. Must see in NYC, Please take the time to see this museum, it's well-worth your time and money!

This museum gives insight into real stories of 9/11 that weren't told on the news. I could have spent 4 hours in this 15 x 20 studio.

This is a unique museum well worth the visit. We were impressed by the amount of information contained in this one tiny museum and the heart warming and heart breaking stories told with the utmost respect. I would highly recommend this museum to anyone. By visiting, you not only ensure that those who died are not forgotten but also those who worked so hard and tirelessly in the recovery. A truely moving experience.

Visiting this museum was an emotional and challenging experience. It was unlike anything I have experienced before. I can't imagine anyone would leave this tour without a genuine and broader appreciation of the events of 9-11 and in particular, the recovery that Gary Suson has so brilliantly captured and generously shown in this space. This tour is not so much about what happened on that fateful day, but the recovery effort that followed and the people involved. It may not be the easiest way to spend a couple of hours, but if you want to experience the beauty and courage of the human spirit in the aftermath of tragedy, this tour is well worth doing.

After experiencing this, my fiance and I looked at 9-11 with a whole new set of eyes. I would greatly recommend this workshop for anyone who comes to NYC and is looking for a tribute to those that died. We even had the chance to sit down and chat with the owner for a bit. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

A Tribute to those involved in Rescue Efforts

This is the first thing we did upon our arrival in NYC. I believe for most people, 911 is now the first thing that comes to mind when the word "New York City" is spoken. This museum allowed our family the mechanism to give our respect to those who perished and those involved in recovery. This is well thought out and tastefully done and must see! The neighborhood is in the process of regentrification and very interesting to explore as well. Immediatey following the visit, we headed downtown to the World Trade Center site . The rebuilding gives you the sense of our nation's perserverance under any circumstance.

Most amazing museum we've ever been to!

This museum was fantastic and quite unlike any other in that you can interact with the exhibit by holding many of the objects. It provided such a visual reminder of the horror of 9/11 and while reliving some of that horror it also offers many poignant stories. It is these stories that stay with you and provide a human face to the tragedy. We'll certainly be telling people in Australia that it is a must do when visiting New York!

Emotional Experience

The experience brought a new understanding of the events following 9-11-01. This was my second visit and was as emotional as the first. The photographs of Gary Suson tell the story without explanation. You will understand the work of the New York Firefighters and their life's journey to help the victims and come away and not be the same!
