For such a difficult subject, the artist presents the material in an entirely respectful manner. My family was SO moved... we will never forget.

Emotionally overwhelming and an experience that will stay with me forever - this is an absolute MUST see and do when in New York. Seeing my 14 year old son take all of this in and it affect him as much as I is something I'll never forget. To actually hold a piece of glass from the Towers and see a piece of the airplane really brought this horrific event home. An extremely respectful and beautiful tribute to all of the survivors, recovery personnel and loved ones who passed away on September 11. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for creating such a beautiful memorial of photographs and artifacts to share with the world. Peace be with you all.

What an amazing collection of photographs, artifacts and stories from that day. I'm from the Midwest, but my love of New York City made the events of 09/11 feel as though it hit much closer to home. The stories, the photographs went a long way in helping me to heal.

| It was unexpected because we actually thought we booked the tour at the WTC site, instead we went to the Meatpacking District to an out of the way second floor studio.
When we realized we misunderstood, we were somewhat anxious. But what an unexpected surprize. SO WORTH THE TIME! I have already told many friends around the country. This is truly one of Manhattan's best kept secrets.
It is an educational tour, a very personal tour and an extremely moving tour! And No walking needed except around the room. Gary Suson has given himself through his hundreds of photographs and collection of artifacts so that the visitor feels what he felt, sees what he saw and walks away with a real understanding of what it was like from September 11th, and throughout the following year. I love the way he has allowed the visitor to tour at his own pace and spend as much time as you want with each photo or artifact. It is a great idea to have the earsets and the flexibility to aim the remote in any order you wish to hear his own words as he felt and saw it, each day. He basically lived with the rescuers day in and day out and the visitor gets to share and be a part of that experience. And if it gets too emotional, they always remind you that there are "anti-depressant chocolates in the restroom" :-)
I will definitely go back as will my friends.....

I would strongly recommend this tour. In an intimate setting, it is very moving and interesting to hear about and see the photos of the recovery efforts through the point of view of someone with such intimate knowledge and access. It is hard to describe the feeling that comes over you when you see the twisted metal from one of the planes, or when you see some of the items that survived pretty much intact, e.g., a pair of glasses, a magazine, a blush compact; items you use or see everyday and don't give a second thought to but which develop a new meaning because of where they came from. Being close to these items really puts a face on those poor people who thought they were just going to work as usual on a beautiful fall day without knowing that would be their last. God bless the recovery workers who had to deal with that on a daily basis.

This tour of the ground Zero museum was the best part of my trip. We booked our tour for Sept 11, 2009. The little room doesnt seem like much when you get there but by the end of the tour you realize just how much there really is. The setting is comfortable and the information is plentiful. Gary Suson did a little speech before the guide took over ( we were very lucky to be there on a day Gary Suson was there) Its very emotional and the stories heard are amazing, I could have went through the whole tour again if I could. If there is one thing on your list that should not be missed while visiting new york I would say this little museum is it. Gary Suson does an extremely amazing job at giving you an insight of what ground zero was really like and how everyone did the best they could to look after everyones loved ones and lost ones.

We were very fortunate to stumble across this tour by an internet search the day before we took it. Can't believe it's not a hugely attended tour due to the incredible contents! It's like the best kept secret in New York. It made our visit to Ground Zero SO much more meaningful and brought the whole event home to us who live on the West Coast.. We are very greatful that Gary Marlon Suson was chosen to be the official photographer because he did an amazing job not only photographing this incredible event in history, but the artful, heartfelt way in which he arranged the museum was great! Hope more and more people will have the opportuity to see this wonderful presentation.

I would highly recommend a visit to the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. It is an incredible experience that was quite emotional. While I was saddened by the devastation that this disaster wrought, I was also uplifted by the amazing efforts of every individual involved in the aftermath of 9/11. The museum showcases the aftermath of the destruction of the WTC, but it also emphasizes how humanity can come together under incredible circumstances. Well worth a visit.
