Emotional, touching!!

I would definitely recommend this to anybody. I believe our country has too quickly forgotten or put behind the events of 9/11. We should be reminded daily how lucky we are and not forget those who died that day. Mr. Susan does an outstanding job resurrecting the WTC and bringing back to life those brave men and women who we lost on that fateful day. It definitely leaves you speechless for quite some time. (and he has plenty of tissues on hand, should you forget.

I have been deeply movedby the atmosphere, the involment of the persons who established this museum as a tribute to and a remembrance of all those who perished and suffered. At the same time, this tour is educational,f ull of serenity, and hope for the future. This is a visit I will never forget in my whole life. I recommend this tour 200% to anyone with a sense of humanity and respect.

I enjoyed the tour very much. It was interactive and informative. It had a much greater impact on me than just visiting Ground Zero itself. This tour brought 9-11 to life.

I am so glad that I found out about the Ground Zero Museum and that I got to visit it before returning to Australia. The museum was incredibly moving and it was so great to be able to meet with Gary Suson in person, who has created an amazing collection of photos and artefacts from the rescue and recovery process that took place at Ground Zero. The museum provides a unique insight into the state of Ground Zero over the many months that he was there, and goes beyond documenting to provide an intense potrayal of the emotion of those at the site including Gary himself. Definately a must see!

I will start from the purchase of the tickets to the actual tour end. First and foremost, the items orffered are "customer service" ways to improve the total experience. In conclusion, we will overview the musem experience which was exceptional!. Puchase of the tickets was easy and all of the info provided adequate. However, it mentions hands on museum which I encourage you to state "Limited" hands on. Why? When adults and children started to touch they were corrected not to. We felt there may be an issue with age limits since Gary wanted absolute quietness and no movement by the children, correcteing them a few times. The floors were noisy . Perhaps a need to remedy by moving displays since any age person could have been "rocking" in those spaces. Printed internet info was accruateand helpful. However, the isntructions need updating as to the "meet time and guide greeting". Repeatedly, it states be there10 minutes ahead of the tour to meet the guide. You need to explain why? since once there no one greets guests; and ringing the loft bell response was the tour will start exactly at 12 noon; without no other explanation. The tour lasted move than 1 hour but was delayed by not collected our tickets those ten minutes. Since we were the first group there , we repeatedly advised others we did ring the bell and the response was as above. But they felt the need to do also because maybe someone would come. Why? For 4 reasons: 1. The sign on the bulding does not state tours are offered on Mondays and all were concerned there was an error which we wanted clarified. 2. Your sign say s to ring with ring with questions. 3. Buidling location was found easy but "the waiting area was appalling!". The walk and roadside garbage and stagnate water was not appropriate for a business entrance/waiting area. The meat distribution business next door uses "your" sidewalk to load trucks and sort orders. Our standing waiting room meant we had to compete with moving forklifts, pallets stacked or cartons left for pick up, trucks being loaded in front of your building with the same trucks "spraying the stagnate water on the walk amd us" coming and leaving. 4. We realize we were there during the hottest time recently, but please do not continue to give the wrong impression the first 3 mintues a customer comes to you! Once in the building, your loft was ok but small - which explains controlled visitors. There was plenty of time seeing the photos and items displayed and we thank you for that. The videos were moving and the verbal presentations by both gentlemen informative and thought provoking. We certainly commend Gary for the "job" he did in documenting this historial event and feel fortunate the foresight existed for him to do so particularly at a large personal expense. We strongly hope the Museum will expand to a location and size encompassing all of Gary's items and others. We will be back - EXCEPTIONAL! THNX!!

The Ground Zero Museum was Awesome

I was fortunate enough to spend 4 days in New York this summer (2006) and had the opportunity to tour the museum, and I was totally amazed at the amount of effort that went into putting together this museum, the tasteful way that he displayed the portraits was awesome. I am an EMT in Washington and spent almost 2 1/2 hours talking with them and listening to the emotional stories that they told in reference to the picture that were displayed in the museum recounting this horrible day and what those families went through. I have since then, told everyone I know and especially anyone that I know will be going to New York, to make sure that they spend some time at the museum, cause they will be absolutely amazed at the outstanding job that was done with this museum.

Very Moving Experience

The overall museum was very moving and we got a very close and personal tour since the photographer was actually there in the recovery efforts and told us the story behind every picture and he actually did the tour. The place was small but had a lot of stories. However, although I read that we had to be there 10 minutes early on my email confirmation, when we got there 10 minutes early, he would not let us in and said we had to come back @ 11:30am (the exact time the tour was to begin). I thought he was very insensitive to turn us back in the heatwave of NEW YORK we had no place else to go and the neighborhood is full of stink meat / fish packing wearhouses and with the heat, my sister almost vomited and he was insensitive to that. Once we got to his museum, he ONLY checked our printout confirmations and NO ONE else's tickets and asked us twice if we paid. I would have recommended this to all BUT the way he treated me and my sister - I do NOT want anyone of my family or friends to go through. Thank you.

The museum is a beautiful tribute to the events of 9/11. The story of the months following is depicted with a lot of emotion in the photographs. Presenter did a great job of narrating museum. Great tour!!!
