| It's Not a Ground Zero Museum. It's a Gary Susan's photo Gallery. Not what I expect. |

| We are from Kansas and when our tour bus dropped us off at the actual Ground Zero site, we were suprised. At this time there wasn't anything to see or no where to basically pay our respects. We spoke to our hotel about that and they suggested we go to the Ground Zero Museum workshop. We had them immediately call and we scheduled our reservation. My husband and I, along with my parents and our 2 kids (age 6 and 9) made our way down to the museum in the meat packing district. We were a bit alarmed where we ended up and then to find it was a 1 room facility at first we thought we had been took. But 2+ hours later, I had to be pulled from the place. The interactive set up is nothing short of amazing. Both of my kids spent a lot of time going through all the different things we could listen to. It held their attention for the entire 2 hours. We had the last slot of the day so we were told we could stay as long as we liked. I found it all extremely moving. This isn't a museum describing what led up to that awful day, but a memorial to the people that worked tirelessly for 6 months after 09/11 and the people that perished that horrible day! The workers painstakingly trying to find the remains in the most respectful way they could. Amazing is how all 6 of us described it. I laughed, I cried and I was in held in AW for the entire time. I would suggest this wonderful place to anyone who can remember that fateful day in September 2001! It is a wonderful tribute to all that died and all that worked the site after the event. Gary, the photographer/artist happened to be there the day we visited (which happened to be Memorial Day 2008) and he was an amazingly genuine person. He took the time to speak to both of my kids. He didn't hover over them and worry about what they might do....he truly offered his words of help and support. We strongly suggest this place when you plan your New York tours. It is off the beaten path, but it will be the most memorable 2 hours of your trip! |

| Avoids the rampant political, xenophobic and rhetorical nonsense that is sadly attached to this event. Fantastic.
Also, he's the only reason that you'll ever see photos of this effort, and it shaved years off his life, so go thank him and show some RESPECT, ya? |

| I didn't expect to see so much from behind the scenes. I had no idea about the damaged building across the street, the one the insurance companies wouldn't let any one go into for so long, or the subway track under the WTC. Its wonderful how everyone pulled together. I was only surprised that the tour didn't end at the sight, but when our tour was over and we went to ground zero I understood more as to why. |

| What an amazing museum! I was impressed by the fact that the museum was able to take such a tramatic event and display memories of that horrible day in a tasteful way. As a person who witnessed the events first hand, I was reluctant to go to the museum. But I am so glad that I did. The setting is peaceful and lets individuals come to terms with 9/11 at their own pace. |

| The museum was smaller than I expected but the photography was excellent and the comments by Mr. Suson really gave you a feel for the gravity of the experience. It is artfully presented and respectfully done.
I did feel the tour was a bit pricey at $25 per person. It was mentioned that a portion of the proceeds go to the families of 9-11 but it was never clarified as to how much. |
