Incredible pictures and artifacts. It really gives you the perspective of the day to day efforts of the recovery crew and the effects on them.

A Must Do when in New York
Thu, Jan 21, 10   11:00 AM brotz4 Female 40-49 Unspecified Family With Children
My husband found this by googling things to do in New York City. It was informational and the small setting that the pictures and stories are in makes it even more personal. My daughter was three when 9/11 happened and now she is 11 yrs old and she got to understand history by pictures and stories. The photographer was the only one allowed at ground zero. He captivated humanity at its best at ground zero. He showed emotion and hope and faith. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting New York City.

I was in NY for a show and was looking for something to do on the second day. Decided to book this tour after reading many positive reviews online. The museum is very small and is not what you would normally expect. It is scheduled for two hours but you can be done in as little as an hour or so. If you have the time I would recommend taking the opportunity. It is located in a nice area with other things to do. If you don't mind walking it is about 30 blocks from Times Square south.

Not official 9/11 museum but captivating tour
Fri, Jan 15, 10   1:00 PM AnnaHarden Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
The 9/11 museum workshop, located in Manhattan's meat packing district, provides visitors insight into the rescue and recovery efforts that took place at Ground Zero. While the 9/11 museum workshop is not the official government sponsored 9/11 museum, it is the official Ground Zero photographer's workshop. The workshop hosts breathtaking photographs as well as artifacts found at Ground Zero. As visitors walk through the studio guided audio narration accompanies each photograph. I found the tour captivating and thought provoking.

Disappointed

i have been to anne frank museum in amsterdem. ground zero museum was inspired by that. therefore i expected ground zero to have some similarities to certain extend. i was amazed and overwhelmed with anne frank museum tour. ground zero is nothing close to that. they shouldn't have used anne frank museum as a reference as it's deceiving.

Moving.

Since there is little to see at the WTC site itself, this a chance to remember and recognize the firefighters role and their losses during the aftermath. I was glad that it wasn't too brutal and although I was moved and interested, I didn't feel wracked with grief as I didn't need to go through that again. Hosts were great. Different to do something in such a small intimate space.

Not to be missed

We discovered this almost by accident but we were so glad that we made the effort to get tickets. The setting was perfect - understated but intimate - exactly what was needed for the protrayal of such a tradegy. The photography was exceptional and really captured the human hurt and pain but yet hope and determination. If you at all interested in what happened that dreadful day and in the days afterwards this museum shouln't be missed

nice but expensive and self-promoting

There was great stuff here, but it was too self-promoting and not enough to make a whole two hours or $25 worth it.

I was initially disappointed at the size of the room. But when I put on headphones I travelled back to that eventful day. The artifacts, photography and importance in the room brought me to tears. I loved how the heros were portrayed.

I loved how much elaborate and sensitive information was provided to us. The tour guide was great and very descriptive in giving us a broad overview of the musuem. I thought she was fantastic and very warming. There was just so much information in the photos and provided by Gary voice over that I really wanted to stay there longer and take so much more in. Thanks for a great experience.
