it is an interactive experience, you see the photo while at the same time hear the story behind the picture. Mr. Marlon and the other persons in charge of the tour were very gracious.

No trip to NY is complete without this tour

Ground Zero Museum gives tourists of any age a poignant and heartfelt display of relics from Ground Zero. It gives a pre-recorded video, and then time is given for an individually guided tour based on each person's preference. Gary's pictures are truly one of a kind, and the staff at the museum is courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I can not stress the importance of making this a visitor's priority to see.

We went to NYC on a day bus trip. The weather was not suppose to be very nice so we wanted to find something indoors to do. I am so glad we chose this over any other museum! The photgraphy was fantastic! Mr. Suson has a gift for capturing human emotion. There were many items on display and so much information to gain. I can't imagine the emotional horror the victims went through that fateful day but by going to the Ground Zero Museum Workshop, I now have a better understanding of the vast devastation that happened so quickly that changed thousands of lives! I will definately go back and visit again & I will take my daughters to experience this very special place.

Walking into the room I was immediately taken back at the amount of pictures and artifacts on the walls, But I was also a little taken back at how small the room was. The size doesn't matter, we didn't have enough time to see everything and listen to everything. So that would be my only complaint about the tour is that it is too short. The Pictures and information was overpowering. I got choked up a couple times and I saw my wife wiping away tears. We were 1800 miles away in Denver CO. on Sept. 11th, 2001, but this museum made us feel as if we were right there. The photos were unbelievable and the stories are incredible. We highly recommend this museum. God bless you for sharing this amazing moment in history through your eyes, and God Bless America! Scott and Kim Woods Denver CO

This is a very intimate, compassionate look at the aftermath of 9/11. It illustrates the human reactions and dedication of the recovery workers and is well worth visiting.

A truly moving experience for both myself and my wife. The workshop gave an unbelievable insight into what it was like for those involved in the rescue operation and how they are impacted, particularly those who were searching for the remains of their loved ones. Some of the images will remain with me forever which I guess is what the creator of the museum is hoping for. The stories cannot fail to move you and one is even amusing i.e. the German beer cans. I will never understand why people would ever believe anything good can come from taking so many innocent lives, however, the strength shown by those directly affected is truly amazing. We hope to visit New York again in a couple of years time and we will certainly visit the museum / workshop again if only to remind ourselves how lucky we are.

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING YOU WILL SEE IN NEW YORK

I booked this tour after reading previous reviewes and hoped I was doing the right thing as there is so much to see in New York. My party ranged from 19 -46 year olds and everyone of us said how brilliant the museum is. It has made a really big impression on us and it is the first thing my daughters tell everyone about. I can understand why it has such good reviewes and we were lucky enough to meet Gary Marlon Suson whilst at the museum which was the icing on the cake for us.

The movie and the relics from 9/11 were moving. The personal experiences of the photographer were the most touching remembrances we heard.

My husband and I visited the Ground Zero Museum Workshop and we enjoyed it very much. It was much smaller than we expected, but with the video and self-guided tour, we were there for almost 2 hours. Mr. Suson's images are breathtaking - an extremely talented photographer.

Combine this with St. Paul's

The museum guides are very respectful, and set a pitch-perfect tone for the visit. In the group in the museum during our visit there was a 9/11 widow and I think she felt OK with how the visit was handled and the way in which the museum works. The background stories of the people/objects in the photos were interesting. I would recommend combining this museum visit with a visit to St. Paul's Chapel, about a block away from Ground Zero. St. Paul's provided meals, a place of refuge, and care for rescue workers for 8-9 months --- in other words, what went on with the rescue workers photographed by Gary after they left "the Pit." Seeing the two together provided a memorable morning.

We had the luck of meeting Gary Suson himself and I couldn't resist hugging him for all that he had done. The museum he has set up dedicated to the recovery process surrounding 9/11 was truly amazing. His photographs are works of art and symbolise so much. Afterwards my friend and I were unable to go to the museum near Ground Zero itself as this one left us so awestruck, we felt the other museum could in no way do it justice. HIs photo's and displays are told with a sensitivity but also hold a powerful impact as he captures the raw emotion and strain all fire department people and others went through during the recovery period as they excavated the site. A must see for anyone interested in this time in America's History and be prepared to be moved. The museum will leave it's mark in some way on all those who venture into it. I was also pleasantly surprised when I was told all proceeds from book and poster sales go straight to six charities set up for the 9/11 victims and the fire fighters. It made the souveneir shopping worthwhile. The museum is small in itself, the self guided tour is easy and the guides on hand to answer any questions. To anyone thinking of doing this tour, don't think about it, go and do it, you won't regret it. The no of pepole allowed in is limited so it brings the whole experience down onto a more personal level. Cleverly narrated, eye opening and impactful. No Gary I won't forget, not after seeing the work that you have done.

I visited Ground Zero Museum with my Husband and 21 year old Daughter and we were all very moved with the thought and comfort that this must have gave to many of the relatives of the victims of the Twin Towers.
