Such a beautiful thought provoking reminder and memorial. We went with our children 8 and 11 as well as another family with children 9-15. We all learned much and walked away with a better understanding of the heroism and selflessness involved in the recovery post 9/11. Reinforces the American spirit and helps ensure we never forget. |

Mr. Suson is a terrific photographer. He can really capture the "feeling" of the situation in his photographs. My mother joined me at the museum. She was a little nervous about going because she thought she'd be depressed the rest of the day after seeing the images, but she wasn't. This is because the images were sympathetic to every level of sensitivity of their viewers. There are also artifacts that were found during the "dig" at ground zero. Seeing these pieces of people's lives was the hardest part for me. It made the trajedy all the more "real" to me. There are no pictures of the planes hitting the towers and no pictures of victims found. They even allowed the viewers to take pictures of their own, which was special to me. It was a moving tribute to ALL who lost their lives on Tuesday, Septmber 11, 2001. I am honored that Mr. Suson wanted to share his photographs with everyone and proceeds go to the victim's family funds. I recommend seeing the museum if you have the time. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Each of us had a different favorite part, there is something here that is sure to touch everyone. It brings back to life the memories and what these people must have felt at the time. Highly suggested! We would even visit again! |

Had a lot of problems getting here as taxi's kept taking us to WTC - ended up arriving about 40 minutes late and told to be quiet as tour had already started. No offer made to tell us what we had missed, told the opening video wasn't necessary and we weren't missing much! Photos and talk back very good |

I was thankful for my opportunity to visit the Ground Zero Workshop. The photos are amazing and the stories they tell help to remind us what it was like for New York the years following the attack. It was nice to get the inside perspective of the people who were directly involved with the rescue effort. It is put together well and the tour guides are very helpful and friendly. |

Holding steel from one of the buildings of the WTC was an intimate connection to 9/11. It is an emotional visit and reminds us of all that New York, and the nation, has endured. Up lifting and a loving tribute to all those first responders. |

We enjoyed the visit, the tour guides were excellent.
We were surprised at the size of the museum when we entered, but were amazed at how much information was contained in the 1 room, and we were moved by many of the stories behind the photos and artifacts that were present.
Worth a visit if you are in New York. |

When I first read that it was a "workshop", I wondered what that would be like and if it would be worth the time. We had originally planned on doing a different ground zero tour and were told by someone we met on the plane that there was not "much to see" there. We then decided to reconsider the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. In the end it was a great decision. The museum, while small, took two hours to get through and really made you feel like you were experiencing history and not just a passive observer. The photographs were amazing and the narration by Suson describing how, when, or why the photo was taken made you feel like you were walking in his shoes. The audio clips and quotes from individuals who were there or part of the recovery added to the remarkable displays of artifacts and photos. It was a truly moving experience. I still remember the early morning drive to the office (I live on the west coast of Canada) when I heard about the planes hitting the towers .... unfathomable and devastating even though not happening in my country. The museum brought that time in history to life but with a focus on the strength and courage to overcome. The Ground Zero Museum Workshop is WELL worth the visit. It will change you and how you look at the devastation of 9/11. |

This is a great museum to go! Raw emotion and images captures the heart-breaking process during the recovery after that fateful day in September 2001. Thank you so much for showing us what happened and the sensitivities of the personnel involved. |

It's a beautiful little museum. Little being the key word-it was a bit cramped and crowded but overall the experience was good. I didn't find the experience as moving as I expected based on reviews. However, the photographs are very well done and I would recommend visiting this museum. |

This interactive tour was a phenomenal experience!.... I would highly recommend it to everyone. I have never been so impressed with an attraction. The museum is very informational and has such interesting stories and unique artifacts. We did not even visit ground zero on our trip to NYC but we all left and felt like we were there in every aspect. It truly made our trip worthwhile. I have been telling everyone about my trip since we have returned and I talk mainly of this experience!
Sincerely,
Kaitlyn |

Only one photographer was allowed by the city of NY and the NYFD to take pictures of the recovery efforts immediately after the twin towers collapsed and for the next 9 months. His photos, with personal narrations, bring the whole event up close and personal, without the graphic details portrayed in the media. Also included are many cases of artifacts, with descriptions of where they were found. This exhibit is done with compassion and respect for the families who lost loved ones in that tragedy. And, all the proceeds from tickets and purchases go directly to those families.
I'd say it is suitable for all ages, probably best if children are at least 10, only because of the amount of detail provided. |
