| Being from Canada it was one thing to see what happened on Sept 11th on the TV but being in the museum made it so much more personal. The information provided was in great taste, very respectful of everyone involved in Sept 11th and very moving. I would suggest any visitors to NYC to put this museum on the top of their list of things to do. Definitely a must see!! | ||||||

Moved to tears

| An amazing collection that speaks most from its silence. The pictures capture an event in the most moving way I could imagine. The artifacts, often haunting, are never distasteful. The prersenter for the introduction was filled with compassion for the event he spoke of and for the museum he represented. One can not imagine all that is contained in a 1,000 square foot room. Two hours vanished in both my tears and awe. A tribute done with love. Ken Resch Iowa | ||||||

| I had no idea what to expect. My sister and I didn't know how a one room museum could last two hours. We were very surprised how quickly time flew by and how we could have stayed longer if we were allowed. The tour was done with such dignity. The museum felt like home--warm and inviting, yet clean and tidy with a modern decor. We appreciated the quiet, somber atmosphere. We learned so much from each picture and artifact. Each description was just enough information to move us and inform us. More museums should model after this one. We were so glad we went and will be recommending it to all our friends. | ||||||

| The Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour was an incredible experience. Even though it was in a small location all the artifacts and pictures were breathe taking. Sometimes the tour got intense and emotions started to run high, but it was a positive experience full of information and one that I will never forget. | ||||||

| wonderful set up in nice small area with small group, we loved that we could move around alone and review alone, the hosts were both very professional and friendly, we all felt as if it was too much to take in all the information and hence we did miss a few stations... however having said that i would not take anything out of the workshop. thank you for this courageous and sobering presentation. we have brought the book home and have already reviewed | ||||||

| This was a very moving experience, I am glad to have brought our family as it is an historical event that happen in our 14 and 16 year old boys lives. Mr. Suson did an amazing job of truly making you feel as if you were at "Ground Zero", at times I was truly overwhemed with emotions related to the loss of lives, families and the amount of destruction that took place. Mr. Suson's inferences were also well thought and quite eerie, such as the page he found from the bible. I recommend this to those that appreciate history , it truly is a 'time capsule" of the memorable event and worth the time to experience all that occured on that dreadful day and following it in New York. | ||||||

Quiet Reflection

| My husband was very skeptical when he headed 2 miles from Ground Zero to the museum, stepped over the jack hammers working outside the brown, brick building in the meat-packing zone and entered the bare hallway to the museum. He thought for sure that the 30x30 room was going to be a disappointment and that we had been had...until the tour started. The impact of the sounds of that day, the photos of the Band of Dad's, and the memorabilia found at the site were remarkable. To touch a part of the plane and hold it provided a solitary moment of quiet reflection of that day and gave us all a chance to reflect so we will never forget. No tour of New York can be complete without a stop to this place. | ||||||

| We were on a tight schedule going to this tour. We thought the tour was an hour long, but it's actually about 2-hours, and if you plan to listen to the whole tour plan for a maximum of 3 hours. The tour is mostly an audio tour by Mr. Suson's voice of 100 pictures and/or artifacts that he was only allowed to take. If you plan to listen to ALL the pictures than plan to do the last tour-time of the day. Prepare yourself, because if you do listen to it all, it may be overwhelming for some people. Also, do not plan to buy souvenirs early, because they only allow to buy after the tour is over, which is when you are done finishing listening so that could be after an hour-and-a-half to two hours into the tour. Another thing, I was expecting to buy but they do not sell there; there are NO magnets there. Note, that all sells, tickets, and etc money mostly all go to the victims of the 9/11, but very little is kept to keep the museum running. By going to the museum, all you will be doing is helping others. It's for a good cost. Enjoy! | ||||||

| This was amazing! The hair on my arms still stands when I talk about it! Even our children (10 &11) thought it was great b/c it was done in such an easy and individualized way. It was not gruesome at all. It was sad, but in a loving way. It's purpose is to help heal. It is spectacular, informative, and moving! A must see while in NYC!!!! | ||||||

| Suson's photographs provide a glimpse into the difficult job of recovery. Very moving. The $25 entrance fee is a bit steep for a one-room museum, although it apparently funds charities that aid victims of 9/11. | ||||||

Awesome experience of the Ground Zero Recovery

| Outstanding visual and auditory experience of Ground Zero. Although the room holding the exhibit is small, the experience is intense and personal instead of cramped or crowded. There is alot to take in and the approximately 75 minutes alloted to review the individual pieces is reasonable, although you could spent twice as much time and not be bored. The individual audio capabilities that keys to the individual exhibit pieces is a crucial element of making this a very satisfying and personal experience. | ||||||

| The tour is very well organized and the tour guides are professional and well spoken. The museum is upstairs in a small apartment but the amount of information and knowledge you get from this tour is huge. You feel as though you have a close relationship with Gary and the WTC attack. I found the artifacts the most interesting, however the intimate stories told for each picture had a large impact as well. This tour emotionally effected us for days after and I can't stop talking about it to my friends and family. It was rated 3rd on Trip Advisor of all the attractions in New York and I understand why. I even bought Gary's book for a reasonable $50 and it was worth every penny. | ||||||

The recovery after 9-11

| I thought the tour was very well organized with the video and the photo displays. The tour put together interesting facts with personal touches from the photographer. In my view the tour focused on the recovery and not the devistation of the event. This point of view may it very exceptable to young children. I attended the other tour at ground zero and even though it was cheaper I still enjoyed your presentations much better. | ||||||

A small museum with great significance

| The museum is smaller than I anticipated- I think it was a previous photography studio. The pictures, artifacts, and narrated stories (you get personal headphones and can listen to as much or as little as you want) are VERY meaningful. My family thought it was a worthwhile visit and good to do before going to the actual Ground Zero site. Our only complaint was waiting outside (do NOT go early) as nothing else was open in the morning so we just waited on the sidewalk for 30 minutes and they will not let you in early. (In fact, our tour started 15 minutes late because, as the tour guide stated, they were getting the museum "cleaned up" for our group. I thought that was interesting since we were the first tour of the day). Allow 1.5-2 hours. | ||||||

| I was here on business during 9-11. Stuck in the city for 3 days...I will never forget that SMELL as long as i live! Enought time has passed to look back and rememberi the events in an objective way. Did anyone is the USA sleep soundly for weeks afterwards? Was CNN your obsession?? Did you think about what happened constantly?? We all wanted to understand WHY??? I cant immagine the trauma for the families and those that lost love ones...it will be part of whom they are for the rest of their lives. this museum is a fabulous, well presented, gentle but poinant reminder for us " to never forget that day in world history "and how it effected every single person in the USA if not the world. I will never forget that day and this museum honors those who died in an appropriate respectful way. God bless ever one invloved in keeping the spirit and memories of those alive who dies in 9-11 and whom since died as a result of their selfless efforts in the recovery. | ||||||
