When I visited New York I found it difficult to "feel" what had happened at the WTC. At the moment, it is a building site. Although this museum is located away from the WTC, it is a tasteful and intimate journey. The museum is a small room with comfy chairs and lots of photographs and real artefacts, a dvd presentation with extracts of emergency services' radio transmissions and a self guided commentary of the artefacts on display. Well worth a visit, although a little away from the "action". However the meat packaging district is easy to get to by subway, with coffee shops/deli to enjoy in a town centre patio whilst you wait to go the museum. |

We were very disappointed with this workshop. This was nothing but a taped showed that aired on natural TV in an apartment. We also had the impression that we were to be taken to Ground Zero site as a part of the tour but was not.
Do not recommend this. May as well have gone to Ground Zero on your own and watch a rerun on the footage of the aftermath of 911. |

Whilst it is moving we thought there would be more content at the 'museum' which was really just a small room. I'm not sure in advance we had realised it was 99% about the NYFD either. The leaflet talked about a two hour tour which it really wasn't. The images were powerful however. |

Amazingly effective considering the size of the Museum.
Two hours worth spending as a powerful reminder of the events of 9/11. Recommend you visit this place prior to going to Ground Zero. |

A great deal has been published about the events of 9/11 but the museum concentrates on the aftermath and the search for victims of the attack. It is good to be able to see and touch some artifacts from the site and it does bring alive what the site was like after the attack and the sheer scale of the recovery and salvage operation. My one criticism is that it does tend to concentrate more on the effects of the attack on the fire and police services and not much information on the thousands of civilians affected and I feel that an area could be given over to some rememberance of others who died that day. |

Just mind blowing. The smallest huge museum ever. So much emotion and knowledge from an angle you have never seen. I have never spent so long in a museum just amazing |

It was a very emotional tour, although everyone knows about the tragedy that day, it became real for me, being right there in the city and seeing the hard work Gary did. The pictures which spoke a million words and showed such emotion is like nothing I have ever seen. I was recommended to this musuem from a customer in my store in Ontario, and I am so glad she made me aware. I would recommend everyone who visits please go see this musuem. Thank you Gary for all your efforts creating such a legacy of all lost that day. |

This intimate and interactive experience was a deeply meaningful experience prior to our visit to the Ground Zero Memorial at the World Trade Center site. In fact, my friend and I strongly felt that the highly personalized video, pictures, audios and overall context was THE highlight of our NYC trip. I am professionally involved with interactive museum design, and this museum is unlike any other I have visited. It's development and design are an inspiration in itself. You will leave recognizing that the human spirit is a great and awesome power, both from the stories and photos and also from the miraculous impact of such a tiny venue. I came away inspired and humbled at experiencing the love and dedication shown by those who lay down their lives for their fellow citizens. |

Basically the presentation was video and audio. It was generally a self guided tour. Some of the tour artifacts were interesting but... I wanted someone to talk to our group not conduct the tour myself. |

The museum was very intimate and informative. I believe everyone needs to know about 9/11 and never forget it. It is a true testimont to our unity as a country especially in times of peril. I would hope everyone intends to visit this museum in appreciation of those who sacrificed and worked hard to get us through this. |
