I cannot recommend this museum enough to everyone I know that will go to NYC. My husband and I went with a couple from his Army National Guard unit. This museum sent an overwhelming amount of emotions through my body as I looked at the walls filled with memories and stories. My husband was on a four-day pass, getting ready to head to Iraq and this experience provided us with the strength and courage to come to terms of this deployment. It reminded us of the reason he would be heading to Iraq. An EXCELLENT way to view the recovery efforts after 9-11 and an Amazing tribute to the men and women who worked in the recovery effort. A great way to pay tribute to our heroes, and the pictures were simply indescribable. Small private setting made this tour more personal. Must see in NYC, Please take the time to see this museum, it's well-worth your time and money! |

This workshop / museum allowed us to process through the events of 9/11. I am not sure we took time to do this as a couple prior to this date. I was once again reminded of the tragedy and the heroism of our country faced. I would greatly recommend you visit to process through the events of 9/11 in a tangible manner. |

I would recommend everyone experience this museum workshop tour...it is as important as visiting the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park or the Met in New York City and clearly presents insight to yet another chapter of American History. The tour was well presented and sobering-very profound. I cried at the personal stories, bravery and tragedy. We must always remember... |

The pictures, video and items were very neat. The one down thing, is that nowhere on the website does it mention that the site is not at or near ground zero, and when you do find out is after you purchase tickets. I feel this is deceiving, but overrall, the visit was good. If the money was not in part going to charities, I would say it is overpriced. |

We discovered this almost by accident but we were so glad that we made the effort to get tickets. The setting was perfect - understated but intimate - exactly what was needed for the protrayal of such a tradegy. The photography was exceptional and really captured the human hurt and pain but yet hope and determination. If you at all interested in what happened that dreadful day and in the days afterwards this museum shouln't be missed |

The museum is a thoughtful and carefully put together exhibtion of photographs and artifacts from the Ground Zero site as well as interviews and presentations.
The room itself is very small and can be a bit crowded for 24 people but the small size also adds to the feeling in the space. Excellent and very provoking photographs, full of the emotion and horror of that tragic day. |

When we entered to begin our tour of this museum, we were fortunate to discover that Gary Suson was present. He gave us an introduction to his museum and also gave an insight into the conditions he witnessed during the recovery at Ground Zero.
The museum is a collection of stunning photo's taken by Gary Suson and a selection of artefacts recovered from Ground Zero. Each of the exhibits has a corresponding number, which is keyed into the supplied audio handset and headphones to give a narrative description. The museum is very well laid out and it takes almost the full duration of the allotted time to view all of the items and listen to the audio descriptions. Each of the exhibits is sensitively displayed and captures the reality and humanity of what took place at Ground Zero. The museum is a respectful reminder that we should never forget the events of 9/11 or the countless number of people affected by this tragedy.
We briefly met Gary Suson again as we left the museum and we would like to thank him and his staff for having the vision to bring about the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. This museum is a "Must See" on any New York itinery. |

This was the most humbling experience imaginable. I think this workshop is a must when you visit NYC. I have never ever felt like I felt when I was there. I was with my 12 year old Son and he cried when he was there. I recommend this to anyone of any age. |

I have been to NYC many times in the years leading up to and proceeding September 11, 2001 and have always visited Ground Zero. This was my first chance to have an intimate look at the recovery mission as opposed to what I had seen on television. I enjoyed that each photo came with the story of the person in it and the event it captured. My nephews (aged 12 & 14) who have always had an artistic influence in their lives enjoyed it as well but the impact was stronger for me as 9/11 was a very different experience for me then for them. It was a very touching experience and one that I enjoyed being able to do at my leisure and was not rushed through as I have felt in other museums. I appreciated the small group setting as well, it made for a very personal and intimate experience. |

Had a lot of problems getting here as taxi's kept taking us to WTC - ended up arriving about 40 minutes late and told to be quiet as tour had already started. No offer made to tell us what we had missed, told the opening video wasn't necessary and we weren't missing much! Photos and talk back very good |
