Profound Experience

I really enjoyed everything about the experience. Just a few items: 1 - The video played on the large screen is not formatted to fit the screen. So, what you end up with is poor image quality. Perhaps you could right-size the video or screen. A small screen should not be bad considering the intimate setting. 2 - There needs to be a larger sign/banner outside the front door. 3 - The soft spoken young man assisiting the group with the tour needs to speak up. When requested to speak up he appears shy and then resumes speaking softly. Thank you for asking for my feedback.

This museum was wonderful. You really got to see a lot of remarkable items and excellant pictures. There was an audio tour that informed you about each picture or item. Very emotional but a MUST SEE.

The strong emotional impact of the space and its contents hit us first but it was the caring gentleness of the tour leader that brought us into the space and allowed us to experience what the intention of the museum workshop seems to be It was truly amazing on how many levels the photos and artifacts impacted me I highly recommend this museum

This was the most humbling experience imaginable. I think this workshop is a must when you visit NYC. I have never ever felt like I felt when I was there. I was with my 12 year old Son and he cried when he was there. I recommend this to anyone of any age.

Excellent, hearwarming true stories of 9/11

The Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour is like no other Mueseum that I've ever been to. Its intimate atmosphere allows you to get up close and personalize what happened on that September morning in 2001. The photos are unbelievable and each has its own story to tell which is told to you by the photogropher himself Gary Marlon Suson through a audio-headset. There are many artifacts to look at as well. The tour starts with a video and then is self guided. If you are interested in learning about the rescue efforts and the personal stories of 9/11 then the Ground Zero Museum Workshop is essential. We were fortunate in that on the day we went to the museum, Gary himself was there and gave us the tour. Not only is he a talented individual but he has a great heart and he shared with us so many of his personal stories as the official photographer of Ground Zero.

Every visitor to NY should see this exhibition - it was enhanced by having the photographer presenting the introduction and being able to answer questions.

I would recommend this museum to everyone. It really gives you an idea of the the recovery process was like. How hard they worked and the grief that these people suffered. If you do not understand how bad terrisom can be visit this workshop.

Our tour guide was Shaun who looked after everyone very well and helped make the visit to the museum a memorable experience, sharing stories that I will also never forget. The museum gives you an insight into this tragedy which leaves you with so many thoughts and emotions felt, even if you did not any connection to the event. Filled with photographs and items, taken and found during the recovery process, the museum is definitely worth a visit.

I can't recommend this museum enough. As a visitor from England I didn't know what to expect, but I can highly recommend it for people of all ages. The sensitive pictures capture the mood of the dreadful events of 9/11. If you are travelling to Ground Zero, take time out to visit this exhibition. It may be off the beaten track slightly, but we worth finding. Lynda, England

What an amazing collection of photographs, artifacts and stories from that day. I'm from the Midwest, but my love of New York City made the events of 09/11 feel as though it hit much closer to home. The stories, the photographs went a long way in helping me to heal.

A few of my friends were wives of firefighters. The presentation was very well done. Sean was the host on September 22. Being able to listen to explanations of specific pictures was to me a great idea. The host was to the point and seemed enthusiastic to answers questions.
