This museum is an absolute must for any NYC visitor and provides a unique insight into the events at Ground Zero after the 2001 WTC attacks. Located in a small atmospheric room in the Chelsea district, the museum takes you right back to September 2001 and through to mid 2002 with 100 artefacts of various shapes and sizes, all with an audio commentary and a significant story to tell. Tales of high emotion, tragedy and heroism fill the room. Suson's photography is of exceptional quality, with the balance between detail and sensitivity correctly observed. 2 hours very well spent. |

The description on internet didn't quite allow to understand that this exhibition is really about the firemen, and their work after the towers came down. As remarkable as this has been it's finally very limited and not capturing the event in its entirity as one would expect.
It's expensive and disappointing with a lot of emotional sensationalism.
We were disappointed, didn't find it at all instructive or useful. There is also a lot of emotional sensationalism i have to say. |

We cannot express enough just how moved we were by our experience at your museum. The touching stories behind every photograph and the insight it gave us was very emotional. It was wonderful to meet Gary Marlon Suson who was actually at the museum during our visit on Thursday 5 April 2012 at 1 pm and spoke to us all about his personal experiences. Thank you so much. |

My husband and I had 1 full day to explore the city, and wanted to visit ground zero and get a closer look at what was happening/had happened in the past 10+ years since the tragedy. I found this museum while researching online, and thought it looked like it may have more information/more to see than the actual site. I was right. This museum is small, making the experience more intimate. The real items that were found in the wreckage surround you as you sit or walk around the room. The tour headsets allow you to explore at your own pace, getting a real-life account from the photographer who was there, taking all of the pictures that surround you. It's eye-opening and an emotional experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone. |

Gary Suson has created a museum that portrays every emotion. The individual stories pull at your heart strings. The presentation and thought, love and care that has gone into every minute detail is awe inspiring. You will be humbled. Two hours of really seeing and feeling. Thank you to the wonderful girls that compassionately shared with the 26 people in the room the journey Gary took us all through.
This museum is a definate must for anyone visiting or living in New York.
Gary - thank you for creating such a wonderful memorial to the heroes of 9/11. |

My son, age 15, and I were able to experience this museum together. While he cannot recount the actual event of 9/11, he has a better understanding and greater appreciation for the loss that we all experienced. |

Very small, nowhere near Ground Zero and focused totally on the clean up operation because of exclusive access of the photographer. One of my fellow travelers had been to the Museum near Ground Zero and was more moved by that exhibition. |

The tour was recommended as a necessary prerequisite to seeing the 9/11 Memorial. I found the small, quiet group allowed for questions, greater up close and personal viewing of the items found at 9/11, and a peaceful and solemn time to reflect upon what happened on 9/11. My children were small at the time of this terrible incident and I felt that it was important for them to understand and grasp the magnitude of this day and the consequences. I feel that the museum enabled me and my family to experience through others words, actions and pictures the tragedy and the STRENGTH that arose from the American people on that sad and very memorable day. Thanks! |
