Very touching tribute to 9/11. It really hits home to see the pictures and the artificats and the stories behind them. Recommend going and seeing it and remembering those that gave their lives to help others.

The artifacts and audio about each picgture/artifact was well done and interesting. We paid $27 per person through Zerve, and a handout at the activity indicated the cost was $15. We wonder about the difference in the cost. We hope it all went to the FDNY families! The tour guide was knowledgeable. The pictures striking. The whole presentation was respectful and thoughtfully presented.
Powerful Museum in only 1000 Square Feet Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour

You enter this museum located in the Meat Packing District and it is so small you think how could you be there for more than 15 minutes. Then you view the 2 videos and look around the room and stay for 2 1/2 hours. When you enter the musem you receive headphones and each picture/object/artifact has a number next to it. Then you hear the story of each piece that has been carefully selected and displayed. The photos put a face on each person who died, each family that was effected, the enormous effort that was made to recover everything with dignity (be it a person or an ordinary object) and the toll it took on the lives of every person (and dog) involved in the recovery effort. We were lucky enough to meet Gary (the photographer) and he told us his story and how the museum came to be and how he was selected to be the only photographer allowed into the site by the NYC Fire Dept. I recommend this museum for children as well as adults. 9/11 was a day that changed the way we look at America and we should honor the memory of those who were murdered and those who saved them. Please visit this museum - the proceeds benefit the families of the victims and other charities.

We have all seen the planes crashing in to the buildings but what about after that... This museum is a must to see so you know what happened afterwards. It is all done in a very respectful way. I was very impressed by what I've heard and seen and hope that many more will follow me as it is something we must never forget!!

I had no glue, how such a museum could be or must be..... on the visit i learned: this is it. deferantial and appropiate lots to learn. lots to think about it. and the little exhibits tell more than anyting else could be. the team - very little and intimate. if you have time-visit them! but-take you time!

Heart wrenching yet very moving. I recommend this exhibit to always be open so NO ONE ever forgets about how vulnerable the US is to terrorists. Even still we give these same people opportunities to use our own resources against us. How sad to feel this way but 911 can never be forgotten. This exhibit lets you see/feel what the tragedy created. My prayers forever to those who died and those surviving (all victims) and to photographer Gary Suson for living through that hell to keep an important part of our American history preserved. We must never forget as we rebuild to become a stronger Nation under God. Thank you for the privilege to come to the museum to view the various artifacts and to feel the devastation of so many lives cut too short too soon--may we never forget! Thank you so much for keeping this vital historical tragedy forever preserved. I'm sure the cost to Mr. Suson mentally is beyond comprehension. I hope that later the planes hitting the towers and the towers falling can be added to the history along with more radio transmissions to truly comprehend the horror.--Also footage from the Pentagon destruction and the plane that was stopped by true heroes before it reached its intended target--for a full picture of the terrorism. For such a small space, the museum is really impactful. Gary Suson has created a space that is sensitive to its subject matter, while allowing those of us from out of town to learn about things that were never covered in the national news media. For anyone that experienced 9/11 only on TV, internet and in the news (not locals) it really gives you a sense of what the recovery was like, as if you watched it with your own two eyes. Make sure you go, and leave a donation!

On Saturday Feb. 21st at 1:00 I along with two friends from Massachusetts went on the Ground Zero Museum tour. I enjoyed it very much. It's still unbelievable how moving it is to think back to that day on Sept. 11, 2001. The way the photographer took pictures of what life was like shortly after the attack for so many people really puts things in perspective. I enjoyed how we each had our own earphones and we were able to listen to exactly what we wanted to. If something really interested us, we were able to listen to it a couple of times.........it was our choice. Everything was explained to us fully. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn and see more of what happened on that dreadful day.

I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was very moving and such an amazing way of providing a place where friends and family could go to reflect on the events from 9/11. Most of my party had a few tears in their eyes by the time the tour was over... The lady who explained everything was helpful and passionate. The audio systems was a great way of being able to listen and find out about each individual artifact and also enabled you to take your time with each item/photograph. Gary was there at the end to answer any questions and also to sign photos etc. I still cant believe the amazing photos I saw, where he was able to capture the sadness during the massive recovery operation at ground zero. There were some really lovely touches as well, like being offered chocolates at the end to lighten the mood! Thank you so much, this tour will be something that will stay with me forever.

I cannot recommend this museum enough to everyone I know that will go to NYC. My husband and I went with a couple from his Army National Guard unit. This museum sent an overwhelming amount of emotions through my body as I looked at the walls filled with memories and stories. My husband was on a four-day pass, getting ready to head to Iraq and this experience provided us with the strength and courage to come to terms of this deployment. It reminded us of the reason he would be heading to Iraq. An EXCELLENT way to view the recovery efforts after 9-11 and an Amazing tribute to the men and women who worked in the recovery effort. A great way to pay tribute to our heroes, and the pictures were simply indescribable. Small private setting made this tour more personal. Must see in NYC, Please take the time to see this museum, it's well-worth your time and money!
