Holy Ground

I appreciated going at my own speed from exhibit to exhibit. I have been to Ground Zero numerous times since October of 2001 but I found this experience more spiritual and reflective than being at the actual site. Ground Zero truly is Holy Ground.

The museum is presented with simplicity and all the honors due to all the victims, especially those who take part to the rescues

Surprising.....

I did not really know what to expect. I was worried that it was going to feel like an exploitation of 9/11. It was not. It was tastefully done. It helped me to re-connect to the day that we should never forget. We can never forget the people who lost their lives on 9/11, and this "little" museum is a wonderful tribute. It's a little museum with a big heart!

Don't leave NYC without doing this tour

It was an excellent tour - the photos were wonderful, and the intimate stories that accompanied them really brought them to life. Seeing the artifacts was quite surreal - though not as surreal as holding them in your hands, which you are able to do with a select few of them. It was a very moving experience, and definitely two hours well spent.

This tribute was very moving and emotional. We met the photographer Gary Marlon Suson at the museum and his work is just incredible. It really brings you in touch with the people that 9/11 affected. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

A Touching Tribute

My wife and I very much enjoyed the museum and found it very moving. Whilst parts of it were desperately sad, it also had an uplifting effect and we left in a very hopeful mood for the future. The tour guide was very informative and the whole experience is not to be missed. My warmest thanks and congratulations to Gary Suson.

I came with my 67 year old mother and 6 year old daughter and all three of us found ourselves engaged. The museum is small but the work is so very large, so very well done. I really recommend it.

We enjoyed the museum as it was very touching with a personal touch through others' stories. It helped bring the pictures to life as the narration was given by Gary; someone who actually experienced every bit of life in each photo. We appreciate what was given through the museum...thank you.

i had pre-booked my tickets before my holiday and was a little unsure of what to expect, however, it was the most moving part of my trip. it's not glamourised in any way and you feel a small connection with what happened. i cannot reccommend this any higher.

An incredible experience for a visiting friend
Thu, Dec 4, 08   11:00 AM joseg33 Male 20-29 International Tourist(s) Individual
I had a friend visiting from Canada who was interested in getting to know the city intimately and learning more about Ground Zero. I had been on this tour myself and knew it is phenomenal, so got him a ticket. He had Carla as his guide and said that she was a great host - very friendly, knowledgeable and put him at ease right away. I think visiting this museum should be something that everyone living in New York or visiting New York should do at least once. It is a memorable experience and extremely well done. Thank you very much for your great work.

A wake up call to all of us !

This was a true heart rendering experience. Let us never forget the people that laid their lifes, in the pursuit of saving others. There are no words to describe their brave sacrifices and the loved one's they left behind. It was sad to hear stories through the power of captured pictures and the emotions they evoked. This workshop is tastefully created to provide the right atmosphere surrounding the experience.

This is a must see for everyone, the intimate setting really adds to the experience. The photographs are so well done and the narratives tell the stories that needed to be told.
