| I recommend this place to people who are looking to heal from 9/11, want to learn more about the days events, and hear special stories that you will only be hononored to hear at this museum. The museum is small, but packed with so many pictures, stories, and artifacts (which you can touch) to last a lifetime. We were very lucky to have a tour with the actual photographer who was amazing!!! So humble and caring. He took the time out to talk with us, and even sign our book that we bought of his pictures! I recommend going to the museum first, then to Ground Zero. Also, visit the church across the street and firehouse #10. This will def give you a new outlook on life. | ||||||

| I enjoyed the photograph's, but feel overall, that the museum was a tourist trap, making money from the emotional curiosities of those genuinely interested in the 9'll subject. The collection would better be suited as a donation, or loan, to a larger more expansive exhibition. Below the TV, that deliver's an emotional portrayal of 9/11 with heart tugging Celtic music, i saw an X Box Video game console, with numerous video games. This made me angry. - let's play a sad 9/11 movie and make people cry, (so they get they're money's worth) and then when they leave i'll use the same TV for fun and games, maybe some racing, or even Grand Theft Auto. Jesus Christ, if you're going to play video games on the same TV that's used as part of a tear jerking 9/11 memorial exhibition, at least hide your toys away from public view. It appears, that the photograph's are proprietary, and the owner is unwilling to further share or split the income generated by them. Yes, the proceeds are "shared", but what really does that mean? I'd be curious to know the percentages of how the proceeds are divided. I believe an exhibition with such emotional context, needs to be in a space more fitting for a museum, with lots of space. The photos were crammed together, as though to make it worth the admission fee. The artifacts should not be accompanied by purchased or found props (i.e. rocks, gravel, sand,) to enhance the "feel" of destruction. The handwarmers and hygiene kit was a stretch. I think the photographer signature is tacky. A more appropriate sign off would be a simple small print beneath the photo, instead of a hand signature. A hand signature, is for those seeking celebrity acknowledgement. 9/11 is not the subject matter someone should be trying to make a name for themselves from. The photographer's name should be an after thought in the marketing. I don't care about the photographer, i care about the victims, and the heroes. I think it's tacky, that he even offers to hand sign the posters. A disgrace to the victims. Overall, this exhibition is good, but should not be referred to as a "museum", the museum title is misleading, because you're expecting a bigger space, or at least one which is not crammed to capacity for lack of it. The victims deserve respect. - this exhibition deserves twice the amount of space - each photo needs open space around it to allow for reflection. Show the victims, heroes, and families of 9/11 more respect by either providing more space for the photos, or taking some down so that it's not so crammed. . . and get rid of the XBox under the TV and the bike in the bathtub. | ||||||

A Must See for First Timers

| This was our first time in New York and when I found the site online it sounded interesting and was something we definately wanted our kids to see. It was a great intimate setting, the photos and listening to the accounts that coincide with those photos were just incredible, it really brings you back to that day and where you were and what you were doing. I would recommend this to others who feel the loss that so many people did from that day so many years ago.....even though i did not personally know anyone that perished that day i feel a sense of loss for what happened to our country. it was a very touching display and hit home.....it was great to meet Gary Susson and hear from him what he went thru, it was a day I will never forget. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed everything about the experience. Just a few items: 1 - The video played on the large screen is not formatted to fit the screen. So, what you end up with is poor image quality. Perhaps you could right-size the video or screen. A small screen should not be bad considering the intimate setting. 2 - There needs to be a larger sign/banner outside the front door. 3 - The soft spoken young man assisiting the group with the tour needs to speak up. When requested to speak up he appears shy and then resumes speaking softly. Thank you for asking for my feedback. | ||||||

| The strong emotional impact of the space and its contents hit us first but it was the caring gentleness of the tour leader that brought us into the space and allowed us to experience what the intention of the museum workshop seems to be It was truly amazing on how many levels the photos and artifacts impacted me I highly recommend this museum | ||||||

| This was the most humbling experience imaginable. I think this workshop is a must when you visit NYC. I have never ever felt like I felt when I was there. I was with my 12 year old Son and he cried when he was there. I recommend this to anyone of any age. | ||||||

| The Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour is like no other Mueseum that I've ever been to. Its intimate atmosphere allows you to get up close and personalize what happened on that September morning in 2001. The photos are unbelievable and each has its own story to tell which is told to you by the photogropher himself Gary Marlon Suson through a audio-headset. There are many artifacts to look at as well. The tour starts with a video and then is self guided. If you are interested in learning about the rescue efforts and the personal stories of 9/11 then the Ground Zero Museum Workshop is essential. We were fortunate in that on the day we went to the museum, Gary himself was there and gave us the tour. Not only is he a talented individual but he has a great heart and he shared with us so many of his personal stories as the official photographer of Ground Zero. | ||||||

| I would recommend this museum to everyone. It really gives you an idea of the the recovery process was like. How hard they worked and the grief that these people suffered. If you do not understand how bad terrisom can be visit this workshop. | ||||||

| Our tour guide was Shaun who looked after everyone very well and helped make the visit to the museum a memorable experience, sharing stories that I will also never forget. The museum gives you an insight into this tragedy which leaves you with so many thoughts and emotions felt, even if you did not any connection to the event. Filled with photographs and items, taken and found during the recovery process, the museum is definitely worth a visit. | ||||||

| I can't recommend this museum enough. As a visitor from England I didn't know what to expect, but I can highly recommend it for people of all ages. The sensitive pictures capture the mood of the dreadful events of 9/11. If you are travelling to Ground Zero, take time out to visit this exhibition. It may be off the beaten track slightly, but we worth finding. Lynda, England | ||||||
