| We visited the museum 28th December. We were surprised that it was not in the neighbourhood of Ground Zero, still it was easy to find. It was an impressive experience. The museum, just one room, with all kinds of features was very informative. The introduction of mr. Suson was very clear and he gave his information very respectfully to the victims. The video showed an impression of the days after..... and afterwards you could ask questions. Also the self guided 'radio's were very helfpful to experience the what happened at Ground Zero. Lot's of compliments, but one recommendation, don't enlarge the museum too much. To be small makes it very personal. Thanks and lot's of succes in future. Fam. de Rooij, The Netherlands | ||||||

| Gary Sosson conducted the tour of the museum. His passion and desire that we should never forget what happened to the victims of 9/11 is palpable as he takes you through his experiences of our national tragedy. The proceeds from the tickets and other purchases made at the museum are direct donations to the sustainability of the museum and other 9/11 charities which makes the visit even more significant. Our 15 year old didn't want to go, but at the end of the tour admitted that it was extremely worthwhile. | ||||||

| Gary Suson has From the moment you walk into the Ground Zero Museum until the moment you leave, the powerful images grip you and pluck at your heartstrings. Gary Suson has produced photographs of the horrifying 9/11 tragedy with all the passion and empathy that Walker Evans exhibited when portraying the devastating effects of the Depression on residents of the Dust Bowl. That 9/11 was a tragedy that affected untold thousands of people, including the emergency personnel that so bravely forged into the breach to try and rescue the stranded, makes this tribute even more gripping. Suson's photograph of the Bible page that he found in the wreckage--Genesis 11:9, which referred to the "Tower" of Babel--was not only eerily prophetic but the highlighted passage speaking about all nations understanding each other made this discovery in the wreckage of the Twin Towers even more profound. We were fortunate to have Suson narrate our day and the passion wich which he recounted his experience as the only photographer at Ground Zero made the images come alive and leave with us that day. My niece and her boyfriend from Texas and Oklahoma, respectively, were truly touched by this moving experience. It is a must see for all who visit New York. | ||||||

| We did not know what to expect for the money. When we arrived at the apartment sized museum, I was kinda disappointed with the size. After the artist (Gary) showed us the video and talked... we got to look at the phots and 'things' and use the phones to hear stories. I did not cry like I thought I would-- but there is one picture of 2 girls singing and that teared me up. Later, my sister, brother and I went to the site and viewed those photos. Definately not the same effect. You may not get to meet Gary, but either way, the photos, videos and the dialogue through the phone make it worth it. Don't forget to eat at the Little Pie Company across the street. AND it is really easy to find this place. ALSO, arrive about 5 minutes before your ticket time or you will be outside in the cold. Never Forget. | ||||||

| While most of the people on our one day bus trip to NYC opted for shopping, my friends and I took a taxi to the ground zero workshop. We were met by the photographer himself.. a very humble man. His photographs were compelling and his narraration about his feelings and experiences while he was taking these photos were even more descriptive and emotional. We spent the full 1 1/2 hrs. and could've used more time. We were so glad we went! | ||||||

| it would be better if the museum is located near the ground zero itself. i find the workshop tour not to be well attended, so there is little interaction and can be boring. | ||||||

Ground Zero Museum - A MUST SEE

| I think out of respect to the victims and survivors of the events of 9-11-01 this very rare & special museum is a MUST SEE. The pictures & stories alone are powerful enough to move any American, not to mention the items displayed from the Ground Zero site. Don't let the size of the museum fool you. It may appear somewhat small in size at first, but once you realize the significance of what it is you're looking at, you'll be awe-struck. | ||||||

| Gary has done an excellent job of sharing his view of Ground Zero! The combination of his pictures and the artifacts takes one right back to the days and months after the terrorist attacks. I had the privilege of working at Ground Zero, specifically at Site One and St. Paul's Chapel between January and June, 2002 and this was my first trip back to New York since then. Spending part of my day with Gary and Joe was very special. Thank you so much Gary!!!! We will NEVER forget!!! Lauren | ||||||

| This museum, a collection of the photographs of Gary Marlon Suson taken at Ground Zero during the recovery and also of artifacts from that time and space, is a very important and well done work. It brings you into the Pile. It is emotionally difficult but definitely a part of the story that should not be missed. Gary and retired firefighter, Joe Miccoli, are interesting speakers, welcoming hosts and willing providers of information. Thank you, guys. I will not forget this experience nor what you did for us during the recovery period. | ||||||

| While planning activities for an upcoming NY trip, I read about the Ground Zero Workshop & Museum on a travel website and knew that I absolutely must see it while I was there. I visited with my husband and parents the first week of December. We expected to see photos and artifacts but never expected the staging/presentation to be so overwhelming and moving. Put this at the top of your list. | ||||||

| This was an excellent workshop. To be able to get close to the thoughts of those affected by this event and also view artefacts from ground zero was very thought provoking and moving. Visitors are also able to buy merchandise that raises money for those affected. | ||||||

| this was a very informative session. our guide was very knowledgeable about everything and was actually off duty as a fire fighter on 9/11 but came to the scene to assist. The photos and the commentaries associated with them really hit home and in some cases were overpowering. I think my children, ages 19 and 16, can now better understand the true depth of this tragedy and how it affected ordinary people in the course of their ordinary lives. I would recommend this tour to anyone who can fit it into their schedule. it is well worth the time and money. | ||||||

| When we initially stepped into the museum workshop, we thought it appeared very small and wondered if we would be able to fill an hour but quickly found that we were totally engrossed. The audio tour system that explained each photograph and exhibit was very moving and Gary Suson was a delight to talk to. He kindly let us stay for over two hours and was happy to answer any and all of our questions. We felt very moved as we left and would recommend this museum to anyone visiting New York. Gary kindly dedicated a copy of the Requiem book to me. The last time we were in New York was a few months before the 9/11 tragedy and we were standing on top of the World Trade Center so it is still almost unbelievable to us to see a large void where the towers had been. We would be most grateful if you could pass on our thanks to Gary Suson for putting together such a brilliant and respectful exhibition. He is a very talented man. Kind regards.
