This was the highlight of our trip! It is good to see the human dimension of this terrible event. To see the inside through camera lenses and momentos was very emotional. Don't miss this amazing experience! |

The museum itself was very interesting, full of pictures and artifacts from the recovery efforts at Ground Zero. I enjoyed listening to the accounts by Suzon that accompanied the exhibit, and I learned a number of informative facts. I found the exhibit to be tasteful without being too graphic, and diverse in the information it presented. The staff was also quite personable and eager to be helpful. |

While the museum photos and objects are interesting I did not think it was worth the price of admission. The room is very small and the actual objects of interest very few. |

Very good experience. Surprised at how small it is. Scheduled for an hour, but 90 min is plenty of time. |

Arriving home from NYC, my boyfriend asked me which experience would be most remembered. Without any hesitation, I replied " Ground Zero Museum" After seeing Gary Suson's photographs and hearing the story behind each one, you will be humbled. Gary brought honor and dignity to 911 vicitims. |

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked, but we can honestly say that your workshop is by far the most thought provoking and emotional experience we have had on any of the 9/11 tours that NYC has to offer. They say that a picture speaks a thousand words and on this occasion that would be very true. I didn't expect to cry over photographs and artifacts but was very pleased to have the strategically placed tissues to hand. We especially liked the fact that you didn't show the planes hitting the buildings but instead played the sounds and showed the scenes following. We didn't know anyone that was involved with 9/11 but it touched us deeply 10 years ago and we couldn't visit NYC without showing our respects. We will treasure our memories that we have brought away from your little big musuem and I hope that others will feel the same way we did. Keep up the good work and never let us forget. |

We stumbled upon the opportunity to visit this museum and came out feeling that it was the single most important stop on our tour of NYC. 911 was tragic and emotional for everyone, but after spending 2 hours in this little room filled with memories, artifacts, pictures and emotions, i have an entirely different perspective and knowledge about the recovery mission that took place. While it is certainly emotional and depressing to relive the awful events of that day, this little museum focuses on information and reminders of the love, support and heroic humanism that took place for months after 911. This visit reminds you of what it means to be an American . Even if you visit ground zero and the new memorial that will be unveiled this September, please don't miss this little room filled with big messages. It is not close to ground zero, so don't mix it up with the other museums, this one is one of a kind. Bravo! |

What Gary Suson has done with his photos and the artifacts he was allowed to collect defies words. His sensitivity and dedication to honoring all of the victims of 9-11 is so evident. Yet he brings to life the grueling work of those who came day after day to the clean up.
I had the honor to speak with Mr Suson while I visited the museum. He is a humble man who is trying to help each of us have some sort of closure for the event that changed our country and way of life forever.
My husband has worked in lower Manhattan for nearly 15 yrs. When I reached the photo of the World Trade Center Path turnstiles, it was more than I could bear. The knowledge that on that day my husband passed through those barriers a mere 3 hours prior to the attack made me thank God for sparing my husband.
This is truly a must see. I will be returning with every friend and family member I can. |

The museum is just one small room, but it is packed with information and emotion and memories and special moments captured in time. What an emotional trip! We started the day with a video or two and then had the opportunity to take pictures and listen to clips all through the exhibits at our own pace. It is set up to really make you feel comfortable to express whatever emotion you are feeling. It was hard to go through the whole thing without any tears. But I never felt uncomfortable crying. Small groups are allowed into the museum at a time (20 or so) so it is very intimate and you almost grieve together. This is a must see if you are visiting NYC. Shortly after our visit to this museum, we went to eat lunch and met a guy who is now rebuilding the towers and was there the first day of the cleanup process. I highly encouraged him to go and start the healing process. This museum does not focus on the images of the planes crashing into the towers or the people jumping out of the windows as the towers were burning...it focuses on the moments that pulled this country and NYC together. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Go see this. You will NOT be disappointed. My only complaint is that there was not near enough time to complete the room. There are something like 100 different exhibits that have audio clips with them for you to listen to, but I didn't get through maybe 60% of them before I got in line to purchase the photo book and leave. I wish the tours were just another hour longer. |

Gary and team thank you for such a better understanding of what really went on the hours and days after the attack on our country. Not living it every day, I truly had no idea how emotional it was hour after hour and day after day. Thank you for all your dedication, passion and love you created with this great museum to share with the rest of the world and those of us who our proud to wear the red, white and blue, "The Iowa Gang". |

This workshop is very quaint. The tour puts you at the time and place of 9-1-1 and is very emotional. The photographer was there the day we visited. My sister spoke to him and learned even more about what his experience was like shooting history. The audio version of the tour is very, very good. You hear about each photo from the photographer himself and he contributes the story behind what was happening when he took the photograph. The artifacts collected are worth the ticket price, but the story behind the pictures is the most compelling. While the museum site is located in the Meatpacking district, it is worth the trip. We went early and shopped in the trendy shops, took the tour, then stopped at one of the nearby restaurants for snacks and drinks. We loved the area. Afterwards, we took the subway to the Ground Zero site. There was so much more meaning and emotion associated with the Ground Zero site as a result of the museum workshop. Mr. Susson has done a marvelous job with the museum. We were there for the last tour of the day. It was just the two of us. The docents gave us so much special attention. I would suggest this to anyone visiting Manhattan and wanting to experience the before and after of 9-1-1- and the Twin Towers |

We visited NYC for the first time, and this was by far the best activity we carried out. We were so overwhelmed by the whole experience, breathtaking and emotional yet true to its origin, the amazing gary suson really did bring his photographs to our hearts and with his background behind each and every picture it left us sad yet feeling somewhat a part of the tragedy.
Thankyou to all involved with the museum. |

The captures images of the aftermath were very powerful. Your heart goes out to those that lost their lives, their families and the people that recovered the missing. It personalizes that horrible day and makes you connect to the loss and the recovery. We immediately walked down to see the Freedom Tower and its progress. |
