Pride of the Hudson Narrated Sightseeing Cruise

My husband and I took my Mom on this cruise for her 78th birthday. The crew was great at helping her on and off the vessel. Even though we are "locals" I learned quite a few things from the narataion, The trip up and down the Hudson was breathtakingly beautiful. It was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. My Mom said it was the best birthday ever. I would highly recommend this.

The trip may have been better on a cooler day. It was around 95 degrees outside and the air conditioning didn't work at all downstairs. We were not able to hear the tour guide. When we pay about the same amount for a tour on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh, a lunch and entertainment is included, the boat is airconditioned and not as crowded and you are able to hear the tour guide. We were expecting something similar. if all you are expecting is a boat ride, it wouldn't have been too bad if you sit outside and go on a cooler day.

This was a wonderful trip, made even better by an attenetive crew, a clean and well maintained vessel and beautiful views along the Hudson. I would highly reccomend this trip to anyone in the area!

The crew was very friendly and imformativedwhich added to the afternoon. I love that you could enjoy the sun shade or A/C.

We enjoyed to cruise and were pleased to see that there was adequate seating for my elderly parents. The staff was very pleasant. Restrooms were clean and easy to access. Ship decor seemed a little worn but our overall impressions was a very pleasant day!

We felt welcome and comfortable, but the recorded narrative was less than helpful. It didn't keep good pace with our location we didn't think-- we couldn't really identify a lot of what was being referred to. The narrator had a Midwestern/Chicago accent which was a little disconcerting rolling on the Hudson.

Beautiful scenery and 2 housr of relaxation. Also, veryinformative from a historical standpoint. We had a beautiful day which always helps. The crew was friendly and competent.

The boat was clean. The ride was great - it was relaxing, weather was great, boat wasn't crowded. I liked that we could move into the cabin down below the deck when the sun got a little hot (as an aside, while a portion of the outside deck is shaded, most of the people had huddled there, so our only option was to go below). The refreshment bar was well stocked and the bartender friendly. The only negative comment I can make is that we were not really able to hear much of the recorded tour ... it did not broadcast well on the upper deck. But I wasn't there to hear the tour - I was there mostly to enjoy being out on the river. We would go again.

The view was spectacular from the Pride of the Hudson Cruise! We really enjoyed it! The narration was very informative!
