I brought 40 of my Rockland singles 45 plus walks, hiking a & e group and everyone had a great time! Parking areas could be noted better, as the last time I was down there I had parked in the lots that seem to have been taken over by Torches restaurant? Many parked by the ferry and some of us in the municipal lot on the street above Front st. which could be noted. The accommodations are terrific! I would definitely come back, only wish it were closer to Rockland county! |

We had a n enjoyable ride on this ship. The scenery is very nice. The taped description of the sites was informative. They price was reasonable. I would recommend this tour to others.
In terms of areas for possible improvement, the staff seemed disengaged from the patrons. Some didn't greet when you arrived and got off the ship. Some seemed aloof and/or bothered when you spoke with them. They didn't make you feel welcome. That is not how to treat paying clients. |

It was my wife's birthday. We live in the area and love the river. It is great to see the land from the water. The commentary was sufficient. It was a great day weather wise. The refreshments were available and sufficient. Very reasonable price. |

From Tarrytown, went to West Point, Storm King Art Center, Washington's Headquarters, and the cruise. Perfect ending, went down by West Point and back. Lovely dinner right on the harbor. |

I took my friend who isn't very familiar with the Hudson valley on this trip and we both enjoyed it. The scenery is amazing and the history is vast. However, the boat is a bit dated, like stepping back into the 70s especially in the interior, and by narrated we thought it would be interactive. Most narrated tours are done live but this was a somewhat off beat recording. The crew was nice but didn't really say much. The pictures we got were exquisite and the weather was beautiful, but I'd ditch the elevator filler music. Worth the price and overall enjoyable. |

I'd have liked it better if it hadn't been pouring down rain prior to, during, and afterwards. Would also have liked to know if I could have brought my own lunch on board also. |

Nice trip in the afternoon while in the area sightseeing. Narration was just right, not too much. Crew very nice and friendly. Great that they sail rain or shine, we had rain at the start of our trip that cleared shortly after leaving the dock. Parking close and easly to find. |

my boyfriend and i went to see the castle on the way back to the city from upstate. the boat ride out to the castle was nice especially bc it was the middle of fall and the leaves were all changing. the tour of the castle was interesting. the guides mixed in interesting stories and facts that kept us engaged. it was nice to be able to wander around a little and take as many pics as you want. the views were amazing!! everyone was super nice and seemed to really love what they were doing which made for a great day! |

A fun half day excursion from Newburgh down the river by boat to Bannerman's Island. We went in October and the foliage was peaking so the views were superb. The island has the ruins of a castle and surrounding buildings that were the headquarters and home of the Bannerman family and their army surplus business. Interesting bit of history here... The tour spiel seems to elevate Mr. Bannerman to an exalted status. To me, he seemed to be an admittedly hard worker who managed to build an empire by salvaging (stealing?) munitions and supplies from battlefields and selling them to anyone with the proper amount of cash. After making a fortune, he bought this island and built a storehouse for the arms and ammo (which eventually blew up...) and a residence for his family as well as the Castle which served as HQ for the business. The guides explain how he refused to hire architects, but instead made his own drawings which were given to 'his workmen', who figured out how to build the structure so that it looked the way he wanted. No surprise then that the the castle has begun to collapse, I guess.
Still, what is left is worth seeing, if only to revisit a period in NY history when such things were possible! And there is a really nice walk around the island with beautiful views. And besides. Who doesn't love a boat ride? Highly recommend;) |

We really enjoyed the Bannerman Island walking tour. The scenery was beautiful, especially since it was during fall foliage season. We learned many interesting facts, and seeing the castle was amazing and sad at the same time. It would be wonderful if this castle could be saved, and restored. |
