Hudson River Adventures

The hike was a wonderful activity that we all loved! Would love to do it again!

We LOVED this tour! We'd been meaning to get out to Bannerman Island for a while now, and we weren't disappointed. The boat ride was lovely and the tour guides informative on the trip to the island. The tour of the island itself was fantastic. Highly recommended way to spend an afternoon!!!

I can't say enough about Pride Of The Hudson Cruise. It was wonderful,educational and so relaxing. The boat was clean and the staff was wonderful. The Captain was outstanding, and so detailed in his narration of the Hudson, although I would of liked to hear more on the native american history on the Hudson ,which I so hope will be incorporated in the future. I would do this particular cruise again and again. It was a wonderful day. I highly recommend Pride Of the Hudson Cruise.

I have done this tour several times. It never seems to get old. If you are looking to just get out for a couple of hours and relax, this is the thing to do. You need to get there earily if you want a chair to sit in on the upper deck, they go fast. The boat could use a fresh coat of paint and a louder speaker system but, overal its a nice time.

The cruise was well-run in all facets. I was on that date that was important. It had a great outcome as a "next level" date. The only criticism I offer is that there were not enough chairs on the top deck to enjoy the beautiful day. We had to take turns sitting down on the two-hour cruise. I would recommend the cruise to anyone on a date.

This is a great activity, the tour is interesting, and informative. The location is beautiful and great for taking pictures. I recommend bringing sunscreen, it is sunnier than I had anticipated.

This was an informative and fun way to spend 2 hours on the Hudson River - our trip was from 5-7 pm and unfortunately we had clouds, but even so we saw some interesting things. The boat was small but comfortable with an opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks. There was both inside and outside seating areas, which was nice. The good thing about this trip too was that the narration wasn't overwhelming - interesting and historic sights were pointed out and explained, and then there was time also to socialize within the group. The price was slightly high but still reasonable - $30 each. We had our pick of seating also because there weren't too many people on the boat. All in all, this was a nice trip that I would definitely recommend.

I'm sure the tour would have been perfect if it didn't pour the whole time. Hard to pay attention to the tour guide when there is monsoon weather. Wish there were umbrellas provided for the tour. Perhaps you can get a bunch for tours that must go on in the rain.

It was a wonderful trip. The guides were great and informed. The whole experience was relaxed. The boat ride was fun, smooth and not too long. The only negative (and we understand why) is you can't get very close to the castle or go inside of the house? Other than that it was great and would recommend it to anyone who has an interest and if you're reading the reviews, you do.

it was interesting, but no longer can we get close to anything or go inside the house or castle so it was just a short walk around part of the island. I liked our guide, the author of the books, do not remembr his name.

The boat ride was comfortable, and the tour was well-organized. Wes Gottlock, our tour leader, had written an informative book on Bannerman Island, and was a true expert. We enjoyed our experience thoroughly. One caution-- heed the warnings about how challenging the walking can be. We were fine, but one member of our tour group struggled with the heat, stairs, rocky footing, etc. Bring comfortable shoes.

well prepared presentation. it's a shame the castle is devastated by vandals.

It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed it very much! The guide on the island was very knowledgeable, and we learned about the history of the castle.
