The authenticity of this tour made it the best way to see the REAL Haigh Ashbury area of San Francisco! We would definitely do this tour again!

This tour was absolutely awesome! Our tour guide, Izu, was so much fun! She was very interesting and she had so many stories and lots of historical info. that she shared with us. I was very excited for this tour, and it was above all of my hopes- it was so much fun and I had a great time. I highly recommend it, and if I have the opportunity to return to San Francisco again, I would love to do the tour again.

This was one of the best things we did in our brief visit to San Francisco. Izu, our tour guide, was fantastic. A true hippie! She was entertaining and knowledgable about the history, architecture, character and characters of the Haight. I was the oldest person on the tour and the only one who had been to a Grateful Dead concert (other than Izu - who is a self proclaimed "Dead Head".) Maybe that is why I had so much fun. I think my 18 year old daughter who was the one who found the tour on line may have enjoyed it even more. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is a hippie, was once a hippie, ever has known a hippie or just wants to know a little bit more about the 'Summer of Love" and the Haight Ashbury scene from the turn of the century until the present.

Great Tour... a blast from the past

I took my wife and three boys (Two fifteen and a 10 year old) on this tour. Everyone had a great time. The tour was guided by Izu and her dog Benny, and we all enjoyed Izu's insights as to what it was like to be part of the Height in the sixties and through today. She did a great job of mixing old stories, showing where famous people "crashed" and talked about the good and bad of the area over the last 40 years. We highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide was very interesting and had a lot of good stories to tell. Plus, she was very passionate about the neighborhood, the hippie culture, and the "summer of love".

Born in the 60's

Since I was born in the later 60's, I wasn't able to experience that generation but I believe if I were a teenager or young adult during that time, I believe I would have been a hippie and lived the lifestyle. The tour guide (Izo) that we had was great. She gave our group a lot of great informaiton about all of the things that we saw. I would recommend this tour to anyone that would like to know somethings about the 60's. Thanks for a great tour.

Was a good and knowledgable tour of the area which really bought to life the period that made the area famous. Are guide was genuine and full of life and the tour was precise without being at all rushed. Great fun, and made us want to spend more time in the Haight, and also wish we had been born 40 years previously...... ! Nathan et al, London.

Informative

We did enjoy the tour, although it wasn't what we had in mind. It was very informative and we enjoyed the information provided. My problem was that it went on too long, what always ruins a good thing. We were expecting 2-21/2 hours. After 2 hours it was just overkill and lost its appeal. I would suggest a 2 hour max. Remember, we are tourists and have a limited amount of time. 3 hours is precious time and there is so much to see when we visit your beautiful city.
