I really enjoyed the tour through Haight-Ashbury today, it was Awesome!
I highly could recommend it to everybody who is interested in the 60's and the hippie movement as well as all the psychedelic art/music and the great places!
For me it was an extraordinary experience to walk to the grateful dead-house and all the places where jimi, janis and co. went in and out, as they are my gods and idols it was kinda emotional for me ;)
In my opinion Izu did her job more than well - she's a great person, very funny and pretty cool. Sharing her huge knowledge, experiences and memories of that time and the neighborhood with us provided me more information than any book, webpage or documentary ever could!
Thank you again, it was just amazing! |

I took this tour 3 years ago and enjoyed it very much. Izu was the tour guide then who was absolutely great. I recently went back to San Francisco with a friend and definitely booked this tour hoping Izu would be our tour guide. To my luck there she was again, still down to earth and a free spirit. A true hippie at heart with her in depth knowledge of the area and the hippie movement, she brings alive the history of the Haight. No trip to San Francisco would be complete without taking this tour. Highly recommend it. |

Stan was very knowledgeable about SF history, had accompanying pictures to highlight the talk, did not rush and actually was with us longer than the estimated time. Was an enjoyable day. |

When my wife and I arrived at our point of origin we were enthusiastically greeted by Izu who looked like she was still back in the heyday of the Haight Ashbury scene. She related her experiences as she lived through them during that period of time and gave us insight that only an insider would know. The tour gave us a much better understanding of what it was like to be in San Francisco during the Summer of Love and what that culture contributed to the growth of America. This is a definite must-do in San Francisco. Izu was the very best tour guide we have ever had. |

My family and I had so much fun with Izu! The tour was great, lots of information about the neighborhood and the summer of love. Izu (our tourguide) is a gem, with so much energy and love for the history of the neighborhood. The houses where Janis Joplin, the Greatful Dead and even Charles Manson used to live were pointed out. The Haight-Ashbury firemen with their too cool fire truck drove by and gave us a wave. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Francisco. |

Without an informed and interesting guide the tour could be dissapointing however it definitely was not. Izu made the whole thing come to life with her vivid descriptions of the people, famous and otherwise, who lived in the area in the 60s/70s and her detailed knowledge and affection for the place.
The tour was one of the highlights of our visit to San Francisco and although my wife had little knowledge of the era or the main forces behind it she was also enthralled again down to Izu.
Thank you very much; well worth the money.

For anyone who longs to relive the 60's/70's or wishes to know more about the this era, this tour is a must. The guide is wonderful story teller, injecting humorous and factual stories about a neighborhood that staged the" Summer of Love" and housed the likes of Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Jimmy Hendrix and even Charlie Manson. You will not regret this 2 1/2 hour tour. |

My wife and I, in our late 50's, were coming of age during 1967. We felt we had much in common with Izu, our tour guide. She was a delight to get to know and made the tour both entertaining and enlightening. Relating her own experiences from the "Hippie" era made the tour more meaningful. It was fun to see the residences of many personalities of that era including the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin.
I would certainly recommend this tour, especially to those who lived through the turbulent 60's. |

"Izu" is wonderful. Lots of info about history, and insight from a personal level. She lived it, she loved it, she shares it. If you missed the 60's, go, she will take you back. |
