| We enjoyed the tour of the Haight-Ashbury. We found it to be very informative and fun. The tour guide Izu was very high energy and pleasant. She made the tour exciting. We would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys walks and has an interest in learning about San Francisco's history and San Francsico in the 60's.
Sincerely,

| This is a fantastic walking tour...highly educational and interesting (even if you knew nothing about the Haight before!). Tour guide lived in the area which made for an even more personalized tour. Would definitely recommend this! |

| We loved this tour! Our guide, Izzu, was enthusiatic; sharing many stories of the neighborhood that interested those of us old enough to remember the times as well as my teenager, who appreciates the music that came from the Haight. This area is rich with history, the architecture is beautiful and the residents are still very friendly. You can walk through the neighborhood by yourself, but you will have a much better time on this tour! Izzu is the most wonderful guide; I am so happy to have met her! The prices are quite reasonable, so if you're sitting there "thinking" about buying tickets -- quit thinking and just do it! Peace and love from Heidi |

| The passion that is put into this tour by the tour guide, Izu,( imagine Fran Fyne cast as a bubbly, loveable, feisty and slightly dippy 4'9 50-something hippie) makes for an informative, fun, yet respectful and moving tour of a unique area which has happily retained much of the atmosphere of its heyday. Izu's obvious love for her neighbourhood and the people that have passed through it , from rock-stars to the homeless, provides for a geographical, historical, architectural and social tour through all of the good (the music and the social liberation) and the bad (the bad drugs and infamous cults) that the Haight-Ashbury area and the Hippie era produced.
Izu's thorough knowledge of the area and its characters, famous and otherwise, reflects her long association with the area. She first came to the Haight in 1967 and has lived there since 1971.
The best tour that I've ever been on.

| My wife and I participated in the 9:30 tour onTuesday 7th August. We enjoyed it thoroughly. All the contents listed on the yellow advert card were covered/visited, the guide was very knowledgeable and courteous and he gave very good value for money. We liked the warm way he greeted and was greeted by the locals, further underpinning the credibility of his local knowledge.
I have no criticisms of the tour. In terms of enhancing it further I have only two suggestions for the "summer of love" section:
California has a proud history of developing the folk rock music culture which was such an important ingredient of the mid 1960's period. While some of the major influences such as the Byrds, Mamas and Papas and Buffalo Springfield were not directly linked to San Francisco, they emerged from California and it might be useful to mention them as part of background information.
The second point is that some songs 60's songs paid homage and and were strongly linked to the flowerpower era. Several of these have San Francisco in their title. Examples include "San Francisco" by Scott Mackenzie, "San Franciscan Nights" by Eric Burden and the Animals, "Lets go to San Francisco" by the Flowerpot Men. These again may merit a mention.
I wish the Haight Ashbury Flower Power Walking Tour continued success in the future. |

| Our guide was awesome- he lived and worked in the Haight- very personable and informative, shared detailed knowledge about the history, architecture, trees, people, shops and restaurants. Well rounded tour, well-paced, and fun! We loved it, and highly recommend it! |

| Somewhat disapointed in the tour. The person giving the tour was 1/2 hour late and this put the tour later than expected. It was hard to hear some of the history because of the traffic noise and it was an extremely windy day so the noise factor was an issue. it was interesting and I did enjoy seeing the things I've heard about. |

| Please have guide show up on time! He was at least 15 minutes late. Your letter clearly states that WE must be on time, but what about the guide? |

| I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone of 50+ who was interested in or would describe themselves as hippies or has a love of music from this era. But it also interested our teenage children who perhaps could place their parents in context.
It wasn't just about hippies, music and the summer of love, because we learned a lot about San Francisco on a number of levels - Historical, Climate, Healthcare, Property prices etc. And in a fun way with lots of personal info from our guide who really made the tour come alive. She also gave us info about a free concert a couple of days later at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre in McLaren Park which we were able to get to and wouldn't otherwise have known about. A bonus indeed. |
