Haight Ashbury Flower Power Walking Tour

The tour was a one of kind, outstanding and groovy experience. Our tour guide was a beautiful hearted hippie and extremely well informed0 Not only did she inform our group about all the iconic artist and where they use to live but she also provided interesting facts. For example she showed us where the 2nd Ben and Jerry;s was located. Throughout the entire tour she kept a positive and outstanding attitude, Overall she made my experience in San Francisco unforgettable. As we said our goodbyes i thought to myself how sad I was to see her go. She was extremely professional but she made me feel like it was a much more personal tour than a professional tour. Like she would say " I have officially been Hippafied."

Our tour guide lived up to all expectations of a representation of a Haight Ashbury hippy. Tour guide was knowledgeable with lots of facts and interesting tidbits of the past.

If you are into music and music history this is the right tour for you. My husband and I took our 2 teenage kids on this tour and what a great time we had. Our tour guide , Isu was beyond fantastic. She was intertesting, knowledgeable and as they would say in the hippie world she was OUT OF SITE! If you love the history of music and those that made music history this is the tour for you with Isu she is one GROOVY GIRL.!!!! Enjoy -we sure did. The Maestas family from Colorado

This is a wonderful tour with many interesting historical facts on both San Francisco history and the 1960's and hippie movement centered in the Haight Ashbury. The guides know the area very well with many of them living in San Francisco for a long time. Our guide was an original Woodstock attendee and resident of the Haight for many years. She was very knowledgeable and extremely fun! A must for any visit to San Francisco.

This is the second time that my husband and I took this tour. We had Izu as our tour guide (second time), who we completely love and who set the tone for a day at the Haight! She knows this area so well and epitomizes the hippies of the "summer of love"! We enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it! She brought out our "hippie heart and soul" and we loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. For someone who was a young teen during the 60's, this was a wonderful, nostalgic and informative trip back in time. From history of the neighborhood and some of it's famous (and infamous) past residents to architecture of the homes and businesses, this tour is packed with interesting information. The big draw for me was seeing where Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead and others lived, so I personally could have used more time for pictures at the past homes of the musicians; but you could always go back after the tour is over. When the tour was over we were left on Haight Street, amidst the shops and restaurants; it reminded me of the way Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA was back then. Yes, I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of the 60's in the Haight Ashbury District. Stan was a great guide, personable, informative, funny. Get on your walking shoes and GO!!!
