Worth the time and money.............

On a beautiful September day we met our guide, Izu for our Haight Ashbury walking tour. We quickly realized we were in for an animated and interesting time. Izu was very friendly and informative and appeared to have stepped right out of "The Haight" period. She welcomed questions and would freely talk about the history and people (some of which she seemed to have known well) of the era. We personally feel that this was a wonderful tour but that the ending could have been a bit less political in nature.

I went on this tour alone and had a fantastic time with Izu as the tour guide (not sure how to spell her name). She was completely knowledgable, friendly, humorous and accomodating to all of us. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Loved it!

Architecture, history, flower power fun facts!

We loved this walking tour! It was much much more than we expected - more complete coverage of the history of Haight-Ashbury, more highlighting of the area's architecture, more info about "the house where" many big names of the sixties lived and loved. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera!

This tour was a great way to see the history and sights in the Haight Ashbury district. The guide was entertaining and very informative. I was impressed by his knowledge of the area, not just of the 60's, but an overall fountain of information. Stan was the BEST! The pace was good, although when it was time to move on, we MOVED! :) It was a great way to orient yourself with the neighborhood and spot the things that are of interest to you before going back to spend more time wherever you wanted. Overall... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
