Zerve Customer service was on-point when I showed up without my e-ticket, so that's a major plus! Our guide, Isu, (pronounced ee-sue) was a walking embodiment of all the energy and fun of the hippie era. She was animated, knowledgeable, and downright WEIRD (in a good way!) The tour rambled off on tangents at times, but always on an interesting thread. We passed sights and heard stories that felt intimate and real- things you really can't get anywhere but from someone who was on the scene at the time, and that was Isu! For anyone with a penchant for local history and an interest in the culture of the Haight-Ashbury, this is an indispensable experience!

The tour was a one of kind, outstanding and groovy experience. Our tour guide was a beautiful hearted hippie and extremely well informed0 Not only did she inform our group about all the iconic artist and where they use to live but she also provided interesting facts. For example she showed us where the 2nd Ben and Jerry;s was located. Throughout the entire tour she kept a positive and outstanding attitude, Overall she made my experience in San Francisco unforgettable. As we said our goodbyes i thought to myself how sad I was to see her go. She was extremely professional but she made me feel like it was a much more personal tour than a professional tour. Like she would say " I have officially been Hippafied."

Our guide - Stan - was incredibly well informed and kept us entertained throughout the tour. He knew absolutely everything about the Haight area and obviously put alot of effort into the tour. There was a range of information used in the tour including pictures and videos which kept our constant interest. Really great, thanks!

This is a wonderful tour with many interesting historical facts on both San Francisco history and the 1960's and hippie movement centered in the Haight Ashbury. The guides know the area very well with many of them living in San Francisco for a long time. Our guide was an original Woodstock attendee and resident of the Haight for many years. She was very knowledgeable and extremely fun! A must for any visit to San Francisco.

Loved all the detail on the tour- it was very extensive. It does go a bit long so be prepared for that. My favorite part was the grateful dead house and the fabulous Victorians seen along the way.

An Unparelleled Experience of Living History

This tour is unequivocally worth the cost. Izu is a character and a half and a wonderful woman with a unique perspective on the happenings of the time that made Haight-Ashbury the birthplace of the cultural renaissance that is unparalleled in the history of the world and has yet to come fully to fruition. She does a wonderful job of personalizing the tour and I felt as though I was getting the inside scoop (I was) on the place where everyone else was just a tourist. The stories are what make the experience come to life and Izu has plenty of them; I consider it an unbelievable opportunity to have experienced the Haight from her perspective. I went to San Francisco for the week of my birthday and it is safe to say this was the cherry on top of experiencing such a wonderful and diverse city as San Francisco. Frankly, I loved it and would go on it again if I made it back to the city. This tour was the ultimate experience of Haight-Ashbury and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the music, culture, history, life and meaning of the place made famous by the Summer of Love.
