| Our guide was Izu. At first we weren't sure she was our guide. The tye-died tights, tennis shoes and cane made us question if the enthusiastic lady on the corner was just plain crazy or was she trying to corral the tour group.? We soon figured out that Izu is like the Haight...different but charming and entertaining. Her level of knowledge was amazing. When the we hugged goodbye at the end of the tour we felt like we were saying farewell to an old friend. Would highly recommend this tour. Izu was awesome. Benny the wonderdog was precious. |

| We were in the area to see "The Dead" at Shoreline, we brought our two youngest children, now adults, and they wanted to see the infamous Haight Ashbury, so we booked the tour not really knowing what to expect. Well it was all uphill from there..
The tour was fantastic, our guide Stan was great! He was so knowledgeable about the area and the history. He had many many pictures and stories to add to the experience. I would recogmend this to everyone looking for a fun time.
After the tour we went back to Magnolia's, had lunch and enjoyed their great beer.
Still laughing about the old poster and Magnolia Thunderpussy, now there is one more reason to take the tour. Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.
Later, The Bennett family from Utah, now back behind the Zion curtain. |

| This tour gave me and my boyfriend a good view of how life was in the Haight-Ashbury, not only during the Summer of Love, but also at the turn of the century and today as well. We had beautiful weather, but I would assume that if the weather was unpleasureable then the tour would be as well, since most of it is outside.
The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the tour was about three hours instead of the advertised 2 1/2, and did not end where it started. Since we had plans for about an hour and a half after when we thought the tour would end, we didn't have any time to visit the shops and restaurants in the area before having to go on to our next destination.
Overall a good tour, just make sure to wear your walking shoes, sunscreen, and a light jacket for the shaded areas. And give yourself plenty of cushion with time, because it may just go longer than expected! |

| It very easy to walk the streets of San Fran and just be mesmerized by the beauty of the buildings. This tour was a great insight into what went on behind the doors. |

| This was an interesting and enjoyable tour. I learned quite a bit, the tour guide was entertaining and a bit kooky. It gave her credibility, especially when discussing the hippie days of the Haight, which she lived through. It wasn't the best organized tour, and the guide sometimes went on tangents for a while, but the majority of the information was still relevant.
Recommended to learn about the unique history of the Haight Ashbury neighborhood. |

| The guide was really cool and divulged an ocean worth of info! There's no doubt that my wife and I couldn't have done the same tour on our own. All the nuances on this section of town were given to us in an informed manner. Plus the guide was so authentic and cool! Well worth it! |

| My husband and I had a great time on the tour. Unfortunately he had an allergic reaction to something and we had to leave the tour near the end to take him to emergency. We had a great time with Isu and highly recommend her for anyone thinking of taking this tour. She even took the time to call us later that night to make sure my husband was okay.

| Stan was an enthusiastic host and quite entertaining but there was too much information crammed into a short space of time
It was information overload and we felt exhausted at the end of it mentally
Physically it would have been good also to have a couple of sit down breaks or a coffee and a chat.Three hours is a long time on your feet without a break.
Also at the end of the walk maybe a short precise of the walk on a paper hard copy handout so that some of the myriad of information gleened can be retained
We walked the castro the morning before and found this a much more user friendly walk |
