| The boat ride and tour of America's oldest light was very enjoyable. The staff on the boat and at Little Brewster Island were helpful, knowledgable, and excited about their jobs. It made for a very nice afternoon and I would recommend it to others. My only complaint is that the boat was oversold. A 45-minute ride standing while trying to sway with the waves is OK, but for a ride that cost me about $80 it did not seem overly reasonable. I would recommend selling just a few less tickets or, in the words of Captain Quint in Jaws, "we need a bigger boat." |

| Living in Boston and having frequent visitors, sometimes you get tired of walking the Freedom Trail or getting on the Duck Boats. Well, look no farther, as the Boston Light tour done by the National Park Service is both informative, fun, and kinda unique. You take about an hour trip out to Boston light, passing many of the Boston Harbor Islands along the way. The trip is narrated by a Park Service ranger and they really know their stuff. Upon landing at Little Brewster Island, the group is spilt and you get the chance to climb the 79 steps and two ladders to see the Fresnel lens and light. Boston Light is the last and only manned (or in this case "womanned) lighthouse left in the US. It's definitely worth the trip and when you get back, head over to the Barking Crab for some beers and regale the landlubbers with your exploits. |

| A great opportunity to see a working light house. Enjoyed the guide with his detailed information concerning the harbor, the history and the light house. |

| I had a good time at the lighthouse, but due to weather, we only got 1 hr on the island. I also didn't realize how small the boat was. I wouldn't recommend going on the trip to anyone fearful of the water. It was a semirough sea on the day we went, but the boat captain did a great job of maneuvering us around to make us as comfortable as possible. |

| Ths entire process from introduction, boat trip, island tour & return makes this a wonderful trip. Every person we hear from or see is pleasant, interesting & interested. The safety cautions are excellent & confirm the planning for every contingency that makes this a trip I recommend for everyone - I just hope there is space for me on another visit. |

| We all enjoyed our boat trip to Boston Light. The staff both on the boat and on the island were friendly and informative. The time on the island was a little rushed at the end, as we were in the last group to climb the lighthouse. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a great way to get out on the water and get a different perspective on the city. |

| This was a surprise activity I planned for my husband and me. We have been living in the Boston suburbs for years and I just found out about it through Boston.com. I prepared a nice pick nick that we took with us to the island which I highly recommend as well as your cameras. It was in all a very informative, romantic, adventure and relaxing activity. I would definitely do it again even with friends and family that are coming to visit the Boston area. |

| If you want to see a lighthouse up close, this is the tour for you. The grounds are beautiful, the boat ride to and from is just long enough and informative enough to be enjoyable and informative without being overly lengthy. The climb to the top of the lighthouse and its lens was a first, and was just great to be able to do. The staff, volunteers and lightouse keeper were friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer any and all questions. I strongly recommend this tour. |

| This is a fun trip. The boat ride from the dock to the island is filled with great historical information about the harbor and the islands. All of the park people, Coast Guard Auxiliary, and other staff were patient and courteous.
The staff on the island were patient and courteous as well, but due to the limited time available on the island rushed the group through the tour.
The real problem is trying to do this tour all in three hours. The whole thing would have been much more relaxed and enjoyable with more time on the island. |

| Two difficulties in an otherwise good trip. The boat was real small and the landing on the island was difficult. It occured to me that a ramp could be extended to the boat from the island, my trip had personnel standing up the entire ride to the island and return. The total lack of restroom accomodations made the trip uncomfortable, particularly towards the end. The Ranger was impossible to hear on the way to the island over the boat motor noise.
The Rangers, personnel on the island, and Boston Light employess, were outstanding. Everyone was ready when the boat arrived, the boat departed on time, returned on time and the lighthouse and the viewing were outstanding. The lady on the island was outstanding, well prepared, and she insured all went according to plan. The island and lighthouse were very interesting.
I would recommend the trip, but you really need a reasonable restroom for men and women. |
