Enjoyable ride and viewing of the Harbor Islands. Volunteers are quite knowledgable Certainly a way to get on the water while observing all of the boats amongst the harbor and the lovely scenery. The Lighthouse is extremely interesting. Definitely worth a half day trip. |

Boston light Tour is well worth it! It only takes a total of 3 hours but is well organized and informative. We were surprised the boat was not sold out.

The Park Ranger Suzanne was very knowledgable about light house and harbor, No one seemed to know until we got to Boston Light that it was off limits and you where not allowed to go up the light house. The Island Staff where very informative Kudos to The Lightkeepers Husband. The boat Captian did A great job with the kids on board his shipmate however allowed kids to hang over railings while perched on the deck of boat with IPOD headset. The extra time at Graves Light was nice, The sound system needs to be adjusted oh yeah the Shipmate was handling that.....
Parking quick and Easy with in walking distances of boat and dock.

Direction on e-ticket for starting point could have been more explicit. Fan pier is further down. Called for directions and no one answered. Starting point is next to Barking Crab resturant.
Meals were not distributed at beginning of tour as specified. We had a diabetic with us and could have run into a problem. Guide was gratious in helping us with lunch problem. Suggest taking water and snacks with you.
Tour guides were great. Enjoyed the book of pictures. Lighthouse guide and "husband" were very interesting. Volunteers were great.
This is a real "photo" tour.
Our age group ranged from 24 to 70. All enjoyed the trip. One of our group needed to get out of the sun and was appreciative of the opportunity to go below deck on the boat.

The Boston Harbor Light Tour was a delightful experience. The tour narration was extremely interesting and covered Boston history, geography and the Harbor Islands history. Our time on Little Brewster Island was well organized between a short talk by the lighthouse keeper and time to explore and ask questions of knowledgable volunteers. It was a very enjoyable experience! |

I AM A LOCAL CITIZEN BUT NEVER SAW THE BOSTON LIGHT HOUSE IN PERSON. I FULL RECCOMEND THAT IF EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE THAT YOU TRY AND SEE IT. THE BOAT RIDE WAS VERY NICE ESPECIALLY ON A HOT SUMMER DAY. THE TOUR GUIDES BOTH FROM THE COAST GUARD AUXILLARY AND FROM THE PARKS DEPT. WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ALL THE DETAILS OF THE HISTORY OF BOSTON HARBOR AND THE ISLANDS. THEY SEEMED TO LOVE THEIR JOBS AND IT SHOWED IN THEIR ENTHUSIASM WHEN THEY SPOKE. IT IS A GREAT TAKE AND AGAIN, ALL SHOULD TRY IT. GETTING THE RESERVATION WAS SO EASY AND THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE TOUR FROM THE PARKS DEPT AT FAN PIER SOUGHT YOU OUT TO SEE IF YOU WERE ON THEIR LIST FOR THAT PARTICULAR TOUR. AGAIN, OVERALL IT WAS A NICE 3 HOUR TOUR. |

When we arrived at the dock area to board we were greeted by Don, one of the guides. He was very pleasant and friendly. The guides were all friendly and eager to tell us about the Islands around us as we rode out to the lighthouse. They answered all our questions and were friendly to all the guests.
I would recommend it to my friends.
The only thing I wouldn't do again is order a box lunch. That was very disappointing. We ordered iced tea, got water. There was no cookie either. We paid $12 for a sandwich, bag of chips and a water. |
