	A terrific history and geography lesson Boston Light Tour - Boston Departure

	I, my wife and sister in law, who are Bostonians by birth, but have been away from the city for many years, had a nostagic and informative tour of Boston Harbor on the 4th of July. The boat trip combined very interesting historical information with a wonderful geography lesson, resulting in a terrific afternoon on the water. Everyone associated with the trip (park ranger/guide, boat crew and USCG auxilliary volunteeers were professional, informative and courteous. It was a day that we will not only remember fondly but would recommend it as a unique and exciting way to visit Boston from a different perspective. Thanks to all who graciously shared Boston Harbor with us.
	Lighthouse Tour without landing the island?? Boston Light Tour - Boston Departure

	I was a little bit disappointed with the lighthouse tour actually. The reason I joined the tour was my long-time interest in the Boston Lighthouse. Because I was really eager to see the lighthouse, I booked the tickets about three weeks ago. Since it was not possible to change the date, I just wish the weather would be good. It was the 4th of July when I joined the tour. It was becoming cloudy in the afternoon, but not rainy. My friends and I took the boat and it was a pleasant trip until we got to Little Brewster Island where the Boston Lighthouse was located. However, the captain was not able to anchor the boat at the island. After trying a few times, he gave up landing, and we were not able to get into the island. The guide said it was due to safety reasons. So for the next two hours, we did not land any other islands and the boat continued sailing the harbor area until the scheduled returning time to Boston. The only reason I joined the tour was to go to the Boston Lighthouse and I could not even get to the island. It was really a big pity. I understand their concern about safety, but as a customer I believe I have a right to enjoy the tour as much as I want. And if a costumer was not satisfied with it at any reason, I believe I deserve some kind of compensation such as another ticket for future tour or partial refund. There were a few restriction to book the tickets; After once I bought tickets, there would be no refund or changing dates. So I was not able to change the date although the weather was not good on that day. And I was not informed about any possibility not landing at Little Brewster before the boat departed. It just happend in front of the island. Certainly it was a waste of money for me. They did not let me change the date, and the tour wasn`t successful. and no compensation to the customer? I understand the company's not-refunding and not-changeing date policy. However, what about a customer's satisfaction?

	The boat trip was fun, and the tour during the trip very informative. The officials and volunteers who staffed the tour were knowledgable and helpful. It was very choppy when we went out (and starting to rain), so we weren't able to dock at the Boston Light island itself as intended. That's nobody's fault. What was a poor decision, I think, was that the tour decided to go further out in the harbor, extending the trip on water, so as to give us our money's worth--and did this without consulting the passengers or taking a vote. Frankly, I think the vast majority of us would have preferred packing it in right away rather than enduring a fair amount of boredom and some seasickness.

	My wife and I wanted to do something on the 4th of July that wouldn't involve large crowds. The Light House trip filled the bill. Lots of interesting information about all of the Boston Islands. A great way to spend an afternoon in Boston.

	The harbor and islands were beautiful. Little Brewster Island and the lighthouse were picturesque, and the staff was enthusiastic and helpful.

	This was a great trip on a beautiful day. The enthusiasm of all the volunteers from the Coast Guard Auxilliary and the Friends of the Harbor Islands was wonderful and the Light House Keeper even baked cookies, which was especially nice. My only suggestion, since I took this trip on the Fourth of July, is to include the USS Constitution turnaround near Castle Island in the boat ride and maybe join the flotilla. I've taken other boat trips that do this and it would be great to include it in this trip.

	It was easy to get to fan prier via the silver line. The early boat ride to the lighthouse was ideal. Perfect weather with a light wind, very clear view. Walking around on the island and seeing the lighthouse was interesting. All the attendants were imformative and helpful. The chefs salad was delicious and plentyful. Thank you for a great morning before the fireworks. Everyone gave up their holiday time to see that we enjoyed the day..so thanks again.

	For the 10-1pm trip don't buy lunch. Not that good for $12, and you'll be back at 1pm anyway to eat ashore. I was disappointed that there was no lecture on the island about the history of the lightnouse. They relied on visitors to ask questions. I would have preferred a more structured lecture

	You'll learn a lot and have a fine time. The time on the island was a bit too long since the lighthouse itself was closed to visitors.

	The staff was so professional and informative. The lighthouse keeper was so great to see her at the edge of the dock all dressed up was awesome. The staff on the island were great with the kids and they certainly knew there stuff about the island and the lighthouse! We were really disapointed that you could not go up to the top of the lighthouse, and I do feel we should have known this before the trip, but I will need to go back again which is fine! Overall, top rate tour of Little Brewster Island, and all of the islands! We had a great time!!!!

	The guide couldn't have been nicer. The boat clean and comfortable. The information, informative and easy to listen to. We enjoyed the tour of the grounds but didn't have enough time to participate in all the activities. Which was a shame seeing as I wanted to spend some time on the beach looking for all the little creatures. Great for kids! It will be more exciting next year when we can climb the lighthouse, The tour of Graves light was a nice replacement tho. Had a lovely time and look forward to bringing our parents next time seeing as they are lighthouse buffs. Thanks for a nice day. Cudo's to our Parks service guide it was her first time and she did a great job. Loved Rocky too. sincerely Beth Dodd I give it five stars!!!

	This was a great experience, with knowledgeable leaders. We were blessed with perfect weather, which helped - it would not have been nearly so pleasant in the rain. Little Brewster is within easy sight of downtown Boston, but seems like another world.
