I loved Boone Hall===However, because I did the cruise that AM---, by the time I got to Boone Hall we were unable
to see all the exhibits.... I missed the Gullah exhibit which I wanted to see badly..
I was disappointed in the plantation tour==I thought there would be much more to see.
The house and the gardens were beautiful. I loved seeing the slave quarters also.
The boat tour helped us see Charleston on the water--We were able to pass sites we would probably not get to see |

We had a great time on the Harbour tour. The tour guides were very professional and knowledgeable. Enjoy having the opportunity for drinks and snacks on board. |

We enjoyed the package tours. The Boone Hall Plantation gave us insight to the southern culture and enjoyed the talks, the walks, the tours and the ride. We spent 4 hours there and enjoyed it all and felt like we saw everything. The Harbor tour was interesting and a nice ride around the harbor. We sat in the back on top in the open air and the exhaust from the boat was annoying, but we stayed where we were. Only thing that could have been easier was to be able to use the print out for the actual tickets. We had to stop at the Maritime Center to pick up the tickets for Boone Hall because we wanted to do that first, before the harbor tour. If you do the Harbor tour first this will not be a problem. Overall great deal! |

i loved it soooo much!! the boat ride was paradise - so relaxing, gorgeous scenery and so interesting and informative! the guide was tops - i learned so much! The history and the sights/ landmarks (such as fort sumpter, lighthouses , rainbow row, Cooper River Bridge etc) were incredibly amazing and I loved how our guide told us so many interesting stories about Charleston and it's past, present and future.
I enjoyed the whole combo including The Boone Plantation which was like walking into another world/ era that really impacted me. I really enjoyed it - but it was really depressing/upsetting to learn about slave life.
I must say we loved the guy who guided us on the trolly through the lands- I wish i remembered his name but he was a gem we enjoyed him a lot!
Two things of suggestion-
Wear SUNSCREEN on the boat! and
We had to really work to hear our Boone Plantation guide on the trolly ride. I think an intercom/speaker to hear the guide is a must! I was really surprised there aren't speakers to hear the guide.
All in all Everything was fabulous! We will always remember it !
I really appreciate how affordable the combo tour is ! Excellent deal! |

Boat tour was comfortable and air conditioned. The plantation tour was delayed due to storms. I like how they give you a ticket to come back another day because of the storms. |

The Harbor Cruise was very informative - many things we learned and found the crew to be very knowledgeable. The Plantation House Tour was a bit of a disappointment. The guide was wonderful, but only three rooms were shown and too large of a crowd for the tour - one room we could barely squeeze into and it was hard to see the features of the room being noted as someone was always in front of the view. The slave cabin exhibit was excellent - I did it myself without the guide - really a nice job done. |

The Harbor Tour was very pleasant and our Captain led us through the tour with many historically significant facts of the area. The only downside was the lack of healthy refreshments on board. The Plantation tour was equally good. You should allow about 3 hours to do it justice and make sure not to miss the Gullah Theatre presentation - excellent!! Also try their homemade natural ice cream. We had a float made with lemon ice cream and natural Ginger ale. We will be craving that again! All in all the combo tour was a good value which my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed. |
