I would recommend this harbour tour to anyone who has a few days to spend in Charleston. The tour hosts were very friendly, informative and accommodating. We were able to learn quite a bit about the area and see history first hand from the comfort of our seats on the boat.
Additionally, the tour was punctual and the 90 minutes was just about the right amout of time to leave a portion of the day open for other activities.
The same is true for the plantation tour. THere is much to learn about the centuries of history that make up this area and viewing this first-hand is much more appealing than reading from a book. If possible, I do believe that the plantation tour should be done on a "good weather" day as much of the time is being spent outside.
My wife and I both felt that these tours were well worth the time and expense. |

If you've ever taken the boat tour in Savannah, you will be thrilled with this one. You actually see things. We even saw a dolphin up close. Got a great picture of it. Music, captain, and tour was fantastic.
Plan to spend several hours at the Boone Plantation. It's so much to see and so much history. You don't want to miss any part of it. Everyone was so nice, especially trolley driver. He was a hoot. Don't forget to visit the butterly pavillion. My daugther took beautiful pictures which we were able to frame. We spoke Gullah for several days after returning. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and go when it's not so hot so you can enjoy the gardens and all the outdoor activities. |

The Plantation tour was great, lots to do, lots to see and everyone was very nice. Plan to go again in the fall.
Harbor tour was very very slow, took way to long to explain things, there were kids running around screaming and playing so you could not hear the person talking and no one said a word to the kids to keep them calm.
The air inside the boat was hardly working so it was very hot. did not get close enough to the things they were showing to actually see them well (although they had enough time too) felt like I was stuck in over filled subway car.
It could have been enjoyable if they could have asked the kids to sit down and be quite and also if they actually got a little closer to the things they were showing. Hard to follow what the guide was saying cause he started talking about things before you got to them and then the next thing and it was impossible to follow.
Very disappointed that I waisted the little free time I had on that boat. |

This was a good price for the two activities. The harbor tour was informative, interesting, and a relaxing way to see the city. The plantation tour was an indepth look into history. Though it was vey hot and not much shade! My only complaint is that the two activities are no where near one another and that was not made clear when I bought these tickets. There was no transportation provided between the two. Had I known this, I probably would only have done the harbor tour. |

This was a nice way to spend a day in Charleston. We started the day with the Harbor Cruise and ended with the tour of the Plantation. Both were very informative; however, the Plantation tour was the best. After attempting to figure out what the tour guide on the boat was pointing out, we gave up and enjoyed being out on the water. Seeing the dolphins was very enjoyable! Overall, I would recommend both tours. You will definitely enjoy and the price is very reasonable. |

What a great combination tour this was !! Affordable, historic, entertaining and very good plantation and harbour tour operators / narrators.
Boone Hall Plantation: We got there at 2pm and left at 5:30pm. In that time frame we took the tram ride (which had Michael as the guide and he was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the historical aspects of Boone Hall, insightful with his own interpretations as well as comical, injecting some humor now and again), toured the mansion with another female guide, who's name slips my mind, walked the grounds including the slaves quarters as well as listed to Mr. Murray's 1 man show. My wife and kids, 16 and 14, enjoyed the experience and learned a lot.
Harbor Tour: Our 11:30am tour began on time and lasted 1.5 hours. It was a nice presentation and very scenic. We were taken to the mouth of the harbor a few hundred feet from Fort Sumter, (check out the FREE Fort Sumter Museum, about 1 football field away from the Harbor Tour ticket office) the Destroyers and USS Yorktown air craft carrier, up to and under the Charleston Harbor Bridge and saw 4 dolphins along the way. |

Interested in American History? You won't be disappointed with visiting the Boone Plantatation and taking the harbour tour. We would like to come back in October when Fall festivities promise to be exciting. |
