Harbor Cruise and Plantation Tour

What an amazing day. The purchase of the tickets online was very simple. When we picked up the tickets at the Harbor offices - the girl who was working was very helpful. The ease of using the voucher both when boarding the harbor cruise and at the plantation check in, was greatly appreciated. No hassle at all. The harbor cruise was fun - the information that was shared was quite interesting. I'm not sure that I can say enough positive things about the plantation tour (Boone Hall). What a beautiful plantation.

nice tour but very hot

the boat ride was extremely hot. there was only a little shade on the top of the boat. downstairs was enclosed with ac but it was not very cold at all. I had to stand underneath the vent to cool off. I would have enjoyed it much more if it wasn't so hot. The Boone Hall Plantation was nice. Even though it was hot there too, there was a lot of shade from the trees. The tour of the home was nice. It was nicely cooled inside. The tour is only of the first floor and it would have been nice to see the bedrooms upstairs. The slave homes were interesting. Really enjoyed Joseph the Gullah storyteller. He was good. We didn't get a chance to go on the coach tour. We did however go to the cafe and had the best ice cream float I have had in a long time. It was huge and the price was great. Only $2.75. There is also a little butterfly area but we didn't see too many butterflies. Overall I liked the plantation because we learned a lot.

Do it in 2 days

We booked the early harbor cruise & then went to the plantation in the afternoon on the same day. There were a few things we did not get a chance to see at the plantation, which we would have liked to see and wished we had more time there. Both the harbor cruise & Boone Hall Plantation were wonderful, except for the heat. There was no breeze on the cruise & although there is an air conditioned downstairs, where pretty much everyone on the cruise ended up, if you want to take unobstructed pictures, you need to be outside, which is upstairs in the heat. Don't miss the Plantation house tour and the gullah talk at Boone Hall. They are both worth the price of admission. I felt like I was on the set of Gone with the Wind.

harbour tour was great. Saw much of coast line, informative. Boone Hall was a little disappointing at the house. You can only see 3 rooms downstairs. The open bus tour was very good.

Great View of the Charleston Harbor!

It was a relaxing 90 minute tour of Charleston Harbor. The captain during our tour was upbeat, energetic and funny. I learned more about the city and harbor from the tour than what I read in the multiple books about Charleston. If you do go, please bring your long zoom lens if you are an avid photographer. I did not bring my long one, yet I still got some good pictures, especially of the Ravenel bridge! Do not miss out on this tour when you visit Charleston!

Excellent Combo Package

My husband and I traveled to South Carolina for our honeymoon, and these were a couple of the first activities we did. We loved them! The harbor tour is a great place to start to get you an overall background of many of the local attractions, and it was quite relaxing. The crew was great, and if you pay close enough attention you may catch sight of a dolphin or two! We then went to the plantation the same day, and it was beautiful. The avenue of Oaks is breathtaking, and everyone was very informative and friendly. The other great thing about the Boone Hall plantation is that your ticket gets you in to see everything; this is not the case with many other plantations in the area (separate costs for house tour, carriage tour, etc). Overall, they were both wonderful!

The harbor tour was fun. A lot of points of interest were covered. The air conditioner on the boat did not cool very well.

Great Tours. Great Price.

The advertising is somewhat misleading, in that we thought "Combo" meant we would be doing both by docking and going to the plantation. We actually ended up touring the plantation the next day.
