Combo: Charleston Harbor Tour & Carriage Ride

The Harbor Tour & Carriage Ride as a combo are a good way to get an overview of the city of Charleston's history and beauty. Both tour guides were very knowledgable and made efforts to include the participants

Carriage ride was good, but being in the back seat, sometimes it was difficult to hear the narration, especially when trucks were close by and passing. A battery-powered speaker/mic combo might have helped. The harbor tour was very well done - interesting and well presented.

Highly recommend this combo tour, especially for first-time visitors to Charleston! This combination gives a good flavor of Charleston and the beauty of the city, plus history.

The boat gave me a solid historic overview of the harbor & the historic battles. The carriage ride gave me the street level history & view of the gorgeous architecture. Great value! Great fun!

We took the harbor tour and the carriage ride. The carriage driver was very amusing and gave us lots of historical information - some of which you would not find in books. The only negative was that it was very crowded. The harbor tour also was excellent and it was a beautiful day! The crew were very interesting and added to the enjoyment.

Our day out was an adventure that started with the harbor tour and ended with a very informative carriage tour. We plan to visit Charleston in the future. Thanks for a wonderful time.

A good overview of the shoreline sites and history of Charleston.

If you're interested in history, then the carriage ride and harbor tour are Charleston must-dos, in my opinion. Both provide entertaining, but very different, glimpses into events that shaped Charleston and the nation. Website directions to the boat dock could have been a lot clearer (if directions include taking a particular street "to the end" they should at least tell which way they expect you to be going on that street) and the ones to the carriage ride take you to the horse barn, not the parking area. Once there though, the staff are friendly and the guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. If you want to have the Charleston "experience" rather than just a visit for shopping and eating, then both of these tours should be on your list.

I would highly recommend both tours to any visitor. The only complaint I have is when I reserved these tours the person I spoke with did not tell me the carriage ride was over at 4 P.M. I also would have liked to purchase the tour of a plantation that I was not informed that I could have gotten all 3 tours. I was very disappointed. I hope to visit again & have more time to do all of this.
