Great combo tour of Charleston

This combo tour was great! We loved the carriage tour. It was nicely covered from the sun and our tour guide was very knowledgable. The boat tour was nice, but very hot! It would have been nice to have more covered area on the top of the boat for those of us who cannot tollerate being closed in in the air conditioning. A simple canopy over the above deck would have been great.

We thoroughly enjoyed this combo harobor and carriage tour. It was so easy to order the tickets online and the information provided from directions to what to wear was very much appreciated. It made it all very easy. Other than the hot temperature - which was totally seasonal - each event was great fun. The captain and crew for the Harbor Tour and the guide for the Carriage Ride did a wonderful job of involving their travelers and providing the history in an enjoyable and memorable way. We live three hours away and are already planning when we can come back to enjoy all of this again.

Great way to get overview of the area

It was my first time to Charleston and this was a nice way to find out about the area. While the harbor tour was scheduled, having the flexibility to take the carriage tour whenever I wanted to was a nice option in scheduling.

This is a MUST when you come to Charleston!!!!! We did the carriage and the harbor tour and loved it. Learned sooooooooooooooo much about the history and interesting points about the wonderful city. Wished we had done the carriage again. The guides were excellent. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

The harbor tour was excellent. Directions on web site were out of date, as roads were permanently blocked off, so advertised "free parking" was almost impossible to find. However, the boat ride itself was very good. It departed and came back exactly on time.The tour guide was informative and pleasant. I would recommend being to the dock area at least 20 minutes early to ensure getting seats in the area of the boat one desires. The carriage ride set up was a little more disorganized. The wait area was in the barn - very smelly and hot. The time assigned for one's ride was more of an approximation. If people taking the carriage ride were on the large side, it was difficult for all assigned to get into the carriage. Each carriage is supposed to hold 12 people (3 rows of 4). We felt fortunate that the people we shared our seat with were of average size. Another row in our group was not so fortunate. The tour itself was very good, and visited most of the major points of interest. The tour guide was also very informative and pleasant.

This combo tour is something that I would recommend that you do at the beginning of your visit so you can see where you would like to go back to. The information on the tours, especially the carriage ride was excellent. The only fault I could find was that it was hard to find our way to get on the harbour tour. Signage is not very good and it is quite a hike from the City Market.
