Combo: Charleston Harbor Tour & Carriage Ride

I highly recommend the carriage tour. It takes you through different parts of Charleston and the guide we had was great. She seemed to know the entire history of Charleston and she was able to answer every question our group had. As for the harbor tour, it was OK. It was the only way to see Fort Sumpter up close though. Otherwise you just cruise through the harbor and see parts of various areas at a distance. The guide was great as well, very informative with a vast knowledge of history. If you're going on the harbor tour don't go on the 3:30 pm tour in August-too hot!!!

We scheduled the combo tour for our last day and it was a beautiful way to go. The boat ride was interesting and a well-needed relaxing hour and a half. The only drawback was that it was hot hot hot, which isn't the tour's fault but did make it less enjoyable. We went directly from the boat ride to the carriage tour. That was truly the highlight. Our tour guide was phenomenal. I wish I could remember her name, but she's been doing the tours for 20 years and was interesting and extraordinarily knowledgeable. Her control of her carriage/horse was also amazing. I would recommend the combo tour either to get an overview early in a trip or to finish up a trip to get a different view and pull together the knowledge and scenes already experienced.

Enjoyed the Harbor Tour, was a good length at a decent price. Carriage ride was excellent, had a driver that was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Wish it was longer though.

The harbor tour was excellent. For once I could clearly hear what the speaker was saying. There was a choice of indoor or outdoor seating which was nice because it was a very warm day. The carriage tour was wonderful. We had an excellent guide. Wish I could recall her name. She was very knowledgeable and it was obvious that she enjoyed what she was doing. The combo tour was excellent. It was worth the price which was a real value. I highly recommend the tour to everyone!

The harbor tour was informative, relaxing and we saw several dolphins. We loved the narrator. The carriage ride was a nightmare with a driver named Ned. He was rude, condescending and oh so boring. I would recommend the carriage ride if Ned wasn't on it.

This tour provides a visitor to Charleston a great overview of the city - from land and sea. I strongly recommend it for first time visitors ( and even returnees). Both tours are relaxing and informative .

We really loved both! After this vacation we are thinking about moving to Charleston!
