Description

It's Wartime, 1944.  Spies roam from Washington to London, across Europe and beyond.  So when Churchill and FDR need a safe location for a top secret exchange, the Charleston Harbor takes the case.

The briefcase that is … handcuffed to the wrist of a mysterious stranger as he climbs aboard the Carolina Queen Riverboat.  What’s in da case? Nobody’s talking, see. But it must be a treasure of immense worth, unspeakable beauty or awesome power, because everybody seems to want it:  The Sheik.  The Con Man.  The Dame. You!  And someone wants it bad enough to … murder.

The cast of clueless comedy actors from The Black Fedora Theatre set sail with you aboard the beautiful Carolina Queen paddleboat for an evening of mystery and laughter as she cruises the historic and peaceful Charleston Harbor.  But beware for there are eyes and ears on every deck! No guest is above suspicion, so after you purchase your ticket feel free to dress the part by donning your zoot suit and fedora, swing dress, 1940’s accessories or secret spy garb (from any era).

Then climb aboard for an evening of murder mystery entertainment and close-up views of the Holy City's most famous and charming sights:

While aboard the Carolina Queen being entertained by some of Charleston's finest actors, you'll get close-up views of:

  • Fort Sumter: One of Charleston's most popular landmarks, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired
  • USS Yorktown: the famous World War II “Fighting Lady”
  • St. Michael’s Episcopal Church: A survivor of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, whose steeple was painted black so as not to be an easy target
  • Stately homes on the Battery: Symbols of Southern elegance and perseverance
  • The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge: A state of the art span that accommodates the largest ships in the world
Join Charleston Harbor Tours and The Black Fedora Gang aboard the Carolina Queen for an amazing night out on the harbor!
