Enjoyable experience

We really enjoyed the BBQ Blues Cruise but all felt it was a little expensive for what we got. There should have been more food choices than the basic BBQ sandwich plate. Don't get me wrong it was good but about $10 more than the whole experience was worth.

Two great days

The Harbor tour was great. Very educational, nice weather and the boat was comfortable. The crew onboard was very pleasant and helpful. A great tour of the harbor and everything which surrounds it. A lot of history. The Boone Hall Plantation was very nice also. I have been on many plantation tours but none provided as much information about the lives of the slaves as did the Boone Hall Plantation. They provided much information stuggles of the African slaves during and after slavery. The Plantation grounds tour was very good showing all the different vegetables still grown on the plantation. I was not impressed by the main house since it was not the original and was built less than 100 years ago but if you like antique furniture, then you may enjoy it a little more. Plan to spend several hours here. There is a lot to see. All in all, this combo tour was well worth the price.

Each tour provides historic information on Charleston. All tour guides and staff very friendly and as we were traveling with a dog made every effort to accommodate our pet. I would recommend all three tours.

The Harbour Tour was enjoyable, informative and relaxing... We had options to enjoy the tour inside the boat or comfortably seated on deck... Both options provided great views..... The Captain, host;hostesses were tremendous...

My husband uses a wheelchair. The boat was easily accessible with a little help from a mate. Special space for wheelchair and seating for caregiver. Great tour. Will do it again.

Good Tour with Proper Planning

The description doesn't tell you that if you are not local, you should plan on starting early in the am. The harbour cruise is 90 minutes, then you have to travel about 10 minutes to the city tour. The plantation tour is 20 minutes away, outside the city. The tour is good if you plan ahead. We traveled to Charleston from Myrtle Beach and had to rush between all the tours. The last carraige tour ends at 4, so plan accordingly. We only had about an hour at the plantation. Take the tour, but plan enough time. If you are staying in Charleston, you can break this up between days.

Time frames need to be clearer on the web site!
Tue, May 7  1:30 PM pbritz01 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We booked the tri-combo tour as it was stated as the best value. Because we were traveling from Myrtle Beach, we chose the 1:30pm time frame. On the website it says 90 minutes for the tour. We kinda thought that was inaccurate because it was 3 tours, after all. When we arrived at the dock to begin the boat tour, we were told by the ticket person that it would be very difficult to complete all 3 tours before they ended. Why don't they tell you that? Furthermore, we could have done the plantation tour first, we drove right by it on our way into town. So keep that in mind when you are planning your day.

We had a great time and the BBQ was delicious.

The cruise was a lot of fun. We were sitting at a table with three couples and none of us knew each other but it didn't take long to get acquainted. We were celebrating our 48th anniversary, one couple was celebrating their 24th, and another their 5th. We were all from different areas and enjoyed talking and getting to know each other. The view going under the Ravenal Bridge was spectacular. The staff and all the guest were very friendly. The band put on a good show entertaining us with Blues and it was hard to sit still without keeping time to the music or dancing.

Wish I could get a refund
Thu, May 2  7:00 PM Tjensen87 Male 20-29 Local Group of Friends
Was really looking forward to this event with some friends of mine. Bought the tickets easrlier in the day and was looking forward to it. location stated in the email and actual location were different. we ended up at the wrong dock and on the wrong boat about two blcks from where we needed to be at the aquarium instead of the maritime center. By the time we realized we needed to be somewhere else and got to the maritme center, the tour had taken off and left dock. I am now out 85 dollars because there aren't any refunds and I am pretty upset about it. I am a local who won't be participating in anything else like this because of this experience

Great food, Great music, Great cruise!
Thu, May 2  7:00 PM jasteel Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The food was fabulous, the blues were smokin, and the boat ride was pleasant. The only downside was the weather that forced us to go up the Cooper and not the Ashley so we missed seeing the Battery and the Marina. Probably a good choice though since the open water would have been pretty rough. We'll do it again next year!

Lively Rainy night cruise
Thu, May 2  7:00 PM Lucille1964 Female 70+ Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We enjoyed the food--excellent BBQ with all the fixings--and large quantities were available. With the rainy night the top deck was very noisy and the lower deck was crowded, too. However the music was fine and just loud enough to be fully heard. Actual sightseeing of the harbor was limited because of the rain. Fun Time!

Great guide

Everyone who comes to this city should do this. Very relaxing and you learn so much. I do wish that the guides had mics so that we could hear him when he turns and faces the traffic.
