Charleston Harbor Tours

My sisters, mother, and I really enjoyed the Murder Mystery Cruise. We had fun dressing up like flappers and interacting with the crowd. The actors made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. The crowd was fun. The scenery from the cruise ship was beautiful. We got lots of great pictures. The location was close to our B&B easy to get to.

The actors and staff were great! However.....the production and accommodations were anything but. It was $30 per person age 12 and up. The only food on board was Lay's original potato chips and pretzels, at $1.00 per bag. Sodas were included in the price, and there was a cash bar. We were hoping for some other type of food, but settled on buying 6 bags of Lay's because we had no other choice. The "play" took place on the 2nd deck and was blocked to half of the crowd by the HUGE steel pillars in the middle of the boat! We couldn't see a darn thing the whole time! The audience had to STAND the entire time the performance was going on. And there was the problem of HEARING the performers. The crowd all around us was buzzing and talking (understandably) and there were NO microphones or sound system at all. We couldn't hear the play! There was lots of sitting around before the play began, and really nothing to do if you were not drinking alcohol. I really wouldn't recommend this event. I really don't blame it on the actors, they were entertaining, it's just that it isn't put together very well or thought out. Shouldn't they make sure everyone can SEE and HEAR the performance? That's kinda' important to me!!

Everyone I've ever taken on the harbor tour has loved it. I always recommend it to anyone staying with me, or visiting from out of town. There's nothing like seeing Charleston from the water. Cruising past the U.S.S. Yorktown and beneath the new bridge never gets old, even for a local.

The combination Harbor and Carriage tour was very good value. On both tours the guides we very knowledgeable and their presentations were very interesting and comprehensive. Free parking at both sites was a plus. A great way to see this historic city.

I would recommend this Trio-combo to everyone....The price was great....the carriage ride was relaxing and informative along with the harbor cruise...The Boone Plantation was Awesome and will do this again

Great way to see Charleston and to learn about its history. The day was beautiful. The crew was very informative and pleasant. I would highly recommend this harbor tour to anyone visiting Charleston.

Guides were well informed about historical details, they know their stuff!!!

The Bar-B-Que from Home Team was excellent. Seating was a little bit of a problem but that's because there were so many people on the boat. The Captain was couteous and friendly and informative. We had a wonderful time.

Really disappointed that there was not enough tables to sit, eat and enjoy your food. The people that were in line first got the tables and never got up!! The food and entertainment were excellent, but need to do something about fitting more tables or only selling the amount of tickets to fit the venue!!!

I enjoyed this history laden tour of the harbor narrated live by a captain with a fun sense of humor. It made the tour educational as well as interesting and very enjoyable.

Not in any way worth the time or money. The way this was staged made it very difficult to hear what was going on. Unless you were right up front and not three deep in the crowd, you could not see or hear the actors. Some of the actors did not speak loud enough. We lost interest almost from the start. Instead of trying to push your way to the front of the crowd, everyone should have been seated so everyone had the chance to see and hear. One of our group lives in Charleston and will not recommend this to anyone. Wish I had my $100 back...

Great event. I took my 16 year old daughter and we had a great time. The actors were engaging.

Went with a friend. We are each going back with other groups of friends. Cast was so much fun to interact with!!!
