The harbor tour was nice. I have two minor complaints. The guide on the harbor tour had a voice that was annoying in that it was "sing-song". Other than that, he was quite good. The second complaint is that the snack bar wasn't open very long. It was very hot, and we were thirsty.
The carriage tour was fabulous! The guide was a well-spoken man who was obviously well-versed in the history of Charleston. He was quite pleasant and amusing. I was happy to see so much of the city. |

My husband, six-year old daugher and I enjoyed the trip. I enjoyed the commentary of the captain explaining the islands with interjections about the dolphin sightings. I would like to take this trip again when my daugher is old enough to enjoy the historical aspects. But, for her age, she was interested in the water and the wildlife. |

I am not a history buff and found it to be boring in school but these tours were anything but boring. Imagine sailing down the Carolina coast with a refreshing drink in hand, taking in the sights while the narrator teaches you about Charleston's rich history. It was truly an enjoyable, educational, and relaxing experience! Bring sun screen! And if you don't like the heat beating down on you, you can go downstairs in the air conditioned room, have a seat, and enjoy the tour in air conditioned comfort.
I really enjoyed the carriage ride. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. This tour was truly a learning experience in that we learned about Charleston's war hero's and passed inches away from where they lived. Some of the things we learned were astounding! You really must take this ride!
The seats were very comfortable too. |

This is a nice 90 minute tour of the Charleston Harbor. We live in downtown Charleston, and found this tour to be a perfect afternoon with the baby and our friends visiting from up north. |

My girlfriend and her kids had wonderful time on July 31st touring the Charleston Harbor historic scene. the weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time observing the pelicans, Ft Moultrie, and Castle Pinckney. Very serene and calming. |

We were 2 couples, all family & all over 60. The tour was spectacular. The narrator was extremely easy to understand & hear. (Several in our party have hearing loss.) His presentation of the narration was wonderful and the narrative was very informative and surprising detailed. We all came to Charleston in Jan. but the harbor tour was not running at that time so we made it a must -see for this trip and bought tickets in advance. Everyone in our party was delighted with the tour, the crew and the beautiful harbor sights. Of course, it was also a very lovely day and the views were spectacular. Thank you. |

I would truly recommend the tour for anyone that would like to do something touristy but does not have the energy for all of the walking. The cruise is only an hour and a half and the captain had some nice historical facts along the way. My children had a good time watching the water, boats, as well as the dolphins. If you have a family and would like to go. I would suggest you go. |

My husband and myself were on our 32nd wedding anniversary trip and the tour of the Boone Hall Plantation and the Harbor Tour was very memorable. We learned many facts about our state and the guide kept our interest. We would highly recommend these tours to others. |

We enjoyed this first sightseeing trip to Charleston, SC. Taking the combination boat
tour/carriage ride tour gave us a harbor/land view of the city. We learned a lot of American History about the port.
We would gladly do it again! |

The harbor tour on the Carolina Belle was great! Everyone that worked on the boat was very friendly and the boat got very close to the things you wanted to see. I have been on the Spirit Line harbor cruise and you never got close to anything, the staff was ok but the tour was done by a recorded tape which you couldnt even understand. The Carolina Belle tour was given LIVE by the captain and was easy to understand! If you want an informative tour, make sure you only go on the Carolina Belle, not the Spirit Line.
As far as the Carriage tour, this time we went with the Palmetto Carriage tour. What a mistake that was! Our tour guide name was Matt, and he was rude to not only the people on the carriage, making fun of where they were from but he was making rude comments bout the out of state drivers, naming the state that my friends were from. He was not nearly as knowlegeable as all the other tour guides I have been with. We normally take our guest on the OLD SOUTH CARRIAGE COMPANY and have never been dissapointed!
So if I could suggest a tour combo I would say do the Carolina Belle harbor tour and the Old South Carriage Company carraige tour. |
