Disappointed
Sat, May 23  1:30 PM bbrooks59 Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
I was expecting something better than what I received. The chairs were almost on top of each other and you couldn't move with those beside you almost standing and moving off the aisle for you to get by. The narrator tried but did not have a good voice nor was all of his information accurate. I have lived in Charleston many years and several things that he stated have recently changed and need to be revised. If you were not from the area, it would have been fine. It was a pretty day and we saw some wonderful sites in the Charleston area.

Tour of Charleston Harbor was very nice for some one who had never been to Charleston before. It told alot of history & pointed out a lot of the local landmarks to visit when tour was over. Crew was nice & helpful.

Beautiful Charleston Harbor

Even though rain threatened and the wind was 25 mph we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Charleston is beautiful and seeing it from the harbor along with the many sights in the harbor was great fun. We recommend this tour highly.

I have lived in the Charleston area for 23 years. I took my sister from Oregon on this tour. Wish I would have done this 20 years ago. Very informative.

Relaxing and most enjoyable
Fri, May 15  1:30 PM joannepoates Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We were 12 women from Florida traveling to Charleston for a Women of Joy conference. We had a free day and since I had done this combo before, I suggested that they might like to do it also. Everyone agreed to do it and everyone agreed that it was wonderful. Our tour guide, JB was funny and informative; we loved seeing the old houses of Charleston and the great gardens. The proximity of the carriage tour barn to the market place was very convenient. The boat ride of the harbor was very relaxing and also informative. Both events were perfect for putting us in the mood for the start of the conference that evening. I will continue to recommend this activity. Using Zerve to obtain the tickets made the registering process so simple and speedy--I would also use Zerve again.

The Carriage Tour is the best!
Fri, May 8  11:30 AM grambru Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My husband and I had never been to Charleston. He surprised me with the trip for our 37th anniversary. We signed up to do both the Harbour Tour and the Carriage Tour. The price for the combo pack was well worth it! The Harbour Tour was nice to get out on the sun & water and see some sites. The Captain - narrarator was wonderful with a great sense of humor. We saw porpoise and the pelicans which were fun to watch. But the Carriage Tour was worth it and more. Years ago, I would not have thought much about looking at old structures, carriage might be fun but other than that, it would not appeal to me. But let me tell you that our guide Matthew, was the best. He had a degree in design and art, so all the elegance of Charlston was brought to life in his description of the different homes. I would assume that all the guides will tell the interesting facts of the old city, and when you really listen, you learn so much. Like the trademark of the black smith, Philip Simmons on the gates and fencing or why a fence was designed that way. It was just all so interesting! He recommended where to eat after the tour also and other places to see. It was a wonderful visit to Charleston!

Great time with my wife
Tue, May 5  11:30 AM allencarito Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
The tour met my goals. It provided a nice relaxing time with my wife and an opportunity to take photos. The air temperature was perfect given the day before was very hot and humid for us. It was very easy to find, the directions for "web no-print" purchases were perfect. The things that interest me the most were the history stories and why the bridge lights are off (for the turtles). I would have liked more of those types of stories. It would have also been nice if we had a chance to take 10-15 minutes to dock on one of the islands for a few minutes and pictures. The sight of aircraft carrier was not much interest to me. I would have liked to seen more wildlife including turtles and dolphins. Allen

tug boat instead of the schooner
Sun, May 3  1:30 PM JoeSamuel Male 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
Well, I saw the pretty sailboat in the flyer that I thought I was supposed to get on, the Schooner Pride, it was called. But when I got to the wharf to leave for the 1:30pm tour, they had some huge steamboat/ tugboat thing that we had to get on instead of the cool sailboat that was in the ad. Talk about false advertising. That was really pathetic. Otherwise, the tour guides were really good, but the tugboat was completely unexpected. -Joe

Boring tour. Narrator had the most affected voice ever. Annoying to say the least. The crew was very friendly though. Would not recommend.

Two in our group were seniors with mobility issues. The tour allowed them to see and enjoy the sights with little or no physical stress. Thank you very much for a beautiful and informative tour of the lovely town of Charleston, SC.
